Forums - Gaming - Will you(Wii U owners) be pissed with Nintendo if they drop support this year?

Would you be pissed with NX replacing the Wii U this year?

Yes, 4 year is too short of a console cycle. 79 38.92%

No, the Wii U had it's t... 124 61.08%

There's alot of talk that the Wii U's successor(NX) is actually coming out this year and given that no new games have been announced for the Wii U in quite some time, I tend to believe it. The two big Wii U 2016 titles(Star Fox U and Zelda U) were delayed from 2015 to 2016 and E3 2015 had no big reveals. If the next Nintendo home console comes out this year, will you be disappointed in only a 4 year cycle for the Wii U? I don't own a Wii U but I certainly wouldn't be happy if Sony pulled out the PS5 in 2017.

Only if Zelda WiiU is canceled.

Wow you sure read/replied very fast hehe. What if Zelda U is simultaneous release for both Wii U/NX?

Not me personally. I wish the Wii U had done better in terms of sales so that the community would have been larger and made playing games better, but unfortunately that didn't happen. I'm ready to move on if it means new and exciting things will happen for Nintendo fans!

Don't have a Wii U, so no.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Time to move on. Sometimes you get failures that need to be forgotten.

Wii U will end up an awesome piece of history as a retro console lol.

Nah, it's time to move on. I'm extremely happy with my WiiU right now, I have around 40 games which I've enjoyed a lot. I'll buy now Pokkén, TPHD, ZeldaU, SMTxFE and Starfox, some VC titles and time for NX.

I made a similar thread 6 months ago. :)

No, I had enough WiiU games worth the €200 investment.

If I were disappointed with the number of WiiU games that interest me

  • I probably wouldn't have bought it in the first place or
  • I could sell it now with for €100 - €150, so with negligible loss

I want new Nintendo games in the best possible quality they can offer me... if that means switching to new hardware 1 year earlier than "usual" and it helps Nintendo in the long run to regain lost customers by being better competitive, I'm all for it.

No, I want a new Nintendo console as fast as possible.
