Too early to say but I am disappointed in the amount of folk who try apologizing for it despite hammering other games for coming out the same way.

That works both ways.  Are you disappointed in the folk that supported the other hammered games but are now making an exception to this?

No, it didn't. Fighters aren't as big as they were in the early 90's so when you look at unit sales, you need to view them differently.

SFIV didn't launch in the 90s, more like 2009.

Here's what may have happen. SFV didn't have the same hype as SFIV because its frankly not as fresh, it didn't take a big leap the IP. The game launched on a single console, millions of sales are potentially lost not being on X1 (Sony is covering the cost of that). And ofcourse, the game is incomplete so casual fans will wait until it is and get it at a lower price.

Anyhow, its not a bomb. Its gonna sell millions, Sony is paying the bills and I kinda doubt Sony anticipated record numbers. I'm sure there will be a lot of bundling and boasting of bundle numbers though.

If it didn't sell millions on ps4 and pc it definitely had no potential to sell millions on X1. It's share of the sales would have been far less than the ps4.

CoD games get called a lot of things, but I don't think unfinished is one of them.  Activision has that series running like a well oiled machine.

Its pretty unfinished, it had one of the most mediocore campaigns in BO3 for any fps game. Many fans said that

mediocre != unfinished

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Speaking as someone that played every major CoD release, its a solid campaign. Certainly the most ambitious campaign for the series, but gameplay gets tedious partly because the story.

Either way, your original statement was just wrong.

Wonder how the digital sides going? , I have a sneaking suspicion that certain genres like fighting games that have seen a retail decline , are getting a greater than average sales % from digital, the poll needs a verdict out option.

I meant millions of sales in the long run were lost not being on X1. Also, not having X1 meant smaller opening. Mortal Kombat X on X1 did 470K physical sales on week 1.

In my opinion, no way SFV gonna bomb but it will likely underperform.

Are you backpeddling by changing the definition of words now?

Length isn't equal to quality. Frankly, a four hour game can be a blast. Black Ops III is more like 8 hours by the way.

Doesn't change my level of disappointment in either capcom or the fans.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I dont sidestep, i always meant the quality in term of both how you feel and the overall production quality. No bosses, no need to switch weapons,  no different settings and the length.

It a farcry from Call of Duty 2 and WaW
