When Wii U arrived on market people compared Wii U games with only available consoles on market (PS3/Xbox360) and Wii U was around $100 more expensive and games didnt  look any better, in fact majority of multiplatform games worked and looked worse on Wii U.

Agreed. Nintendo had a 12 month window (until the launch of the PS4 + XBO) to show the public the superior hardware of the Wii U compared to the PS3 + 360, but they didn't use that opportunity.

Even Super Mario 3D World (released shortly after that 12 month window) was in the ballpark of the Ratchet&Clank Future graphics of 2007 + 2009 on PS3 (at least in 30 fps videos on YouTube).

Mario 3D World is great looking game and works in 60fps, but Nintendo needed to have game like that on launch not when PS4/X1 arrived on market, instead something like that they had 2D Mario on Wii U launch, lol.

I already told you how, in first year Wii U was considered like ultimate failure and nobody wants it from multiply reasons, also third party completely abandoned platform, when better games and better marketing arived (even price was still high, Wii U still had software drought and gamepad was still unesused), it was too late, in same time on market arived PS4/X1 and Wii U was totally forgotten. Maybe that doesn't make sense to you, but it make sense a lot.

PS3 had only one problem, high price. People didn't wanted to pay $600 for console, when Sony lower price PS3 immediately started to sell much better. So you can really can't compare with Wii U because Wii U had multiple problems.

the wii u was and is still on the shelves of any big electronic market in my country, right next to ps4 and xbox one. It wasnt forgotten and still isnt. Its everyhwere. You can buy one if you want. right now. but people prefer the ps4.

I can tell you how the NX will be doing, even if everything will be exactly like you want it to be.

- Significant more Powerfull as the Ps4 for 500 bucks or As powerfull as the ps4 for 350/400 bucks

- Big and great marketing campaign

- Normal Console (normal controller and co), but console and handheld 2in1

- Zelda Wii U at launch

Just about the home console part:

First year 5-7 million people at best who care about the wii u will buy it to play zelda, 3d mario and co (not everbody interested in 3d mario, zelda also on wii u). Many core gamers will still think nintendo is kiddy. playstation and xbox just got way more mature imagine. Games like Mario and even zelda both are cartoony and MANY gamers dont like this, they thinks its childish.

Third party games might appear first, but most NX owners wont get the NX version of a game. Why? because they already own a ps4/xbox one where the game will be available as well. Their friends will own the same system (ps4/xbox one) as well, they want to play together online. Not everybody will instantly switch to the NX. So most third party games will still be bought on ps4/xbox one.

Third party sales on NX will be bad again. Third party support will stop. NX will be the new wii u.

The handheld might sell better though.

Wii U sales numbers prove that Wii U is forgotten, basically right after launch. You can still buy PS3/Xbox360, even Wii, fact that they are in stores doesnt mean they are selling. In lots a shops Wii U space is on minimum for long time, and usually Wii U and Wii space is same.

Of course it had high price in comparison to previous gen consoles.

Only ignorant people would think a console is weaker because of lazy ports running badly, especially with exclusives looking much better.

The majority of Wii U exclusives doesn't look better than many 360 or PS3 exclusives.

Absolutely 100% not true.

Also completely not true. One screenshot or a single second of footage is enough to confirm that.

That's not possible, you can get a hardware significsntly better and sell for the same price as ps4, since ps4 will have a high profit margin and a new console won't.

Then please show us a list of Wii U exclusives that look better than the good looking 360 or PS3 exclusives (or even AAA third party games), that are showcases of the superior hardware.

Thats a point, even I do agree that those game were lazy ports, fact is that when Wii U was launched could only be compared with PS3/Xbox 360 and same games worked and run worse on Wii U that was more expansive around $100. Also launch Nintendo game (Nintendo Land and NSMBU) didnt look any better than games on PS3/Xbox360. So you basically had console with $100 higher price than old ones and where every game looks worse or in best case similar.

So like wrote, price point and weak launch titles were also one of problems on Wii U.

I actually believe that this was THE MAIN problem for the Wii U.

Had the Wii U launched at $300, and with MK8 and SM3DW as launch titles,  things would had been a lot smoother.

Nintendo not only decided to launch the thing with a 2D platformer game, but during the next two years it spammed the market with four other 2D platformers.  Providing very little thing to other genre lovers.

Now this I'm gonna have to disagree with you on.

The onus is on you to show the imaginary ps3 and 360 games that look better than wii u exclusives.
