I don't know why I even clicked this thread. Might as well post so that my discontent is made known.

That's cool, sorry if I misunderstood.  I was confused by the "best gaming combination you could have" phrasing and thought you were making an absolute statement.

I'm pretty sure that if we could conduct a scientific polling of how many die hard PC gamers also gamed on home consoles, you'd see how pointless debating the two platforms are. The cross over is so small that they literally don't compete with each other. Sony is not concerned with what Valve is doing anymore than they're concerned with what V-Tech is up to. So anytime I see people arguing that they are competitors, I  brush it off and move on. It's very similar to the handheld vs. console people.

In my opinion, I think people just like to argue to argue. PS4 vs. Xbox One gets boring after awhile so those people find new angles to troll.

Go with both or Shut up and enjoy what you do have.
If someone owns the "Superior" platform, i don't understand why they feel a need to "Persuade" others to make the same goal, i do infact have a hypothesis on the reason why. It's plastic that runs software and you get what you pay for. The end

I try not to engage. It's like
"I have a console"
"My console is better than your console."
"My PC is better than your console"
"My PC is better than your PC"

At the end of the day, 99% of us have an inferior experience and some asshole in Scotland is playing in virtual reality with 1080p laughing at us all. I'm just happy with my consoles, my games, and my decent HDTV.

Some people can't handle confrontation. Personally I'm more of a lover than a fighter but every now and then I love seeing a good first fight down the pub. We're humans at the end of the day, not robots programmed to spread love and peace.

If people arguing over gaming machines upsets you. You probably shouldn't read gaming forums (especially if they are sales focused sites).

I'm a PC+Nintendo gamer, so, yeah, you're right about the non-existent debate Nintendo vs PC in my case. They complement each other great as I think Nintendo consoles offers me the best exclusives and PC offers me almost all the thirds I can't buy on Nintendo consoles. So, there's a conflict between PC and PS4/One users because of the multiplatforms. Which is pretty much meaningless since you can play them on the platform that you like, without being an asshole with people who don't make the same choice. And the subject of debate is always the same. Graphics. "Lol, yeah, I can play in 1080p and you play in 900p! wat a luser"

I just became the shahanshah of the restored zoroastrian persian empire in CK2. I'll laugh at people discussing instead of playing from my golden throne :)

yeah so we can argue about which graphicscard manufacture is better, so much more exciting than consoles? I defeniatley take the Consoles exclusives over anything else exclusivley on PC these days.
