Is this 3 years ago? Apple sells not just from its name but it mostly sells today in the states as a symbol of wealth, sure an android phone might offer far more storage and flexibility at a lower cost, but if your friends all see it they'll know that you didn't have the $600 to afford the new iPhone, this logic gets a lot of people to buy them even if they can't afford the newest iPhones but they don't want to appear that they can't afford it, it's a pretty vicious circle to appear better off.
The rumour about the 3.5mm jack has to be just that I think, it hasn't been since the N-Gage that a phone has needed an adapter to use a normal set of headphones and it isn't just headphones, with a standard 3.5mm jack it's simple to connect an iPhone/iPod to your home sound system and enjoy your music, so if they turn the product away from being in the least bit useable surely... their customers would complain and vote with their wallets.... although that hasn't happened in the past decade.

I have never once used my headphone jack on my iPhone, in the past 6 or 7 years, so i wouldn't miss it. I have a 160gb iPod classic, that i used for listening to music.

Latest phones I pick I always think "I would be not bothered if it was twice as thick and heavier and instead of 8h batery I had 24h".

Well, I have a OnePlus One and I honestly can't complain about the battery life (nice juicy 3300mAh)
Welcome to the future... where audio devices will be wireless. Now your music will sound crappier on your ridiculously expensive Bluetooth headphones connected to your Bluetooth-only device. Cables? That is so 1900's.

Don't know what that is... expansion battery? My Sony M4 have decent enough battery, but it's so thin and light that I wold have no issue making it bigger and a little smaller on the screen size to better fit my hand and allow single finger/hand typing.

Iphones are overrated and expensive products that people buy only because it's cool to have one, because it's shiny and that your friends already have one so you are forced to have one too.

I suck to adhere to social or peer presure. I may even be a lousy leader or opinion maker, but I'm totally not follower.
