Mainly Playstation fan here due to diversity is their games.

XBO did a great job on backtracking so far, They are a lot better now then they were 2 years ago. What they are doing now is similar to how Nintendo handle the horrible birth of the 3ds and turned it around.(by throwing 1st party support at it and listen to the community, till it succeed) Unfortunately, all the backtracking is showings its effect and is just widening the gap in terms of console sold.

If XBO's vision 2 years ago was today's vision, It would be hard to say that PS4 is leading.

Off-topic: Too bad Sony does not see that with the Vita. The 3DS would of been on a similar course, but Nintendo acknowledge it and turn the ship around before it was too late. Sony don't know look at the Vita anymore. I don't understand why they release an updated Vita if they don't also announced a few 1st party game to go along.

I think the PS4 would be leading, regardless. It's just a much stronger name/brand than Xbox. It, most likely, wouldn't be a 2:1, but the lead would have been there, nonetheless.

yeah I agree with this.  it would have won regardless though maybe not 2:1 like you said.  PS3 just showed how strong the playstation brand is in the console space.

I still see the XBOX One has having an identity crisis. The 360 was meant to be a streamlined gamer's device with excellent support and industry-leading networking. It was the social gamers console. However now it is just flat out a worse PS4.

-Worse Social Features
-Worse Sharing
-Worse hardware
-Less games
-Worse Online
***Same price as PS4!
***Their interface is less gamer focused and displays adds.

I really think they need to evaluate what their direction is going to be next gen. At least at launch the console was the family-media console that Dad can also use to play Gears on the weekend. Now it doesn't even have that...

Im not really in the mood to argue, I will just say those points are all irrelevant on why X1 is my preferred platform.

Xbox has something PS4 kinda lacks, fun exclusives. Im not having a bad time with PS4 exclusives. They just leave me feeling... meh.

Its almost like MS primary focus is fun. While Sony likes making pretty games with stories. I guess thats why Sony is in the movie business.

Fun exclusives.   TLOU, Bloodborne, InFamous, Until Dawn, and about a dozen other games all say "Hi".  Look these don''t have to be your favorite games, but imo they are enough to say that 90% of gamers won't have worse games to play on PS4.  And when it comes to 3rd party games, it is laughable.

I am really curious about what this "fun" is though.  Halo and Gears are old news, so besides Sunset (Which is only above average) I cannot think of anything else.  TitanFall and Tombraider are not exclusives btw ;)

Those games you mentioned on PS4 arent bad, just meh. They are worth a playthrough for solid game mechanics and story, but the gameplay is meh. God of War is arguably the most fun of Sony titles, but you know...

The most enjoyable experiences Ive had from actual gameplay this gen have been titles like Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3, ROTTR, and Titanfall. Some of those are on PC but I cant play them on PS4.

Either way, I got a PS4. Its cool, but Xbox has the edge for MY taste. PS4 fans would love to have the same content X1 users have been getting.

1) Just because you can't play a game on one platform, doesn't mean it is an exclusive.  I can't play Destiny on PC - Playstation exclusive confirmed!

2) Look if you don't like Bloodborne, TLOU,  OR Until Dawn I would have to say you are by far an outlier.  But that's fine Xbox fits your tastes better, you admit it.  But that doesn't mean you can just say "Playstation lacks fun exclusives".  Objectively by every measurable metric Playstation wins in this category so it is your personal taste, but it is objectively false.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

PC/Nintendo gamer here.

There is really no reason to own a Xbox One if you own a PC and PS4 outside of a few titles.

Fantasia and Forza alone have gotten enough love to justify the cost for me. With more and more exclusives coming to the PC, it's a hard sell.

I bought one back in Oct. I really don't know why. I played a lot of Horizon 2 and now it just sits there. Most of my friends on are ps4 and I feel like Playstation has always had a more diverse library of games. Xbox is okay just not really a system I put anytime into.

I am looking forward to Cities Skylines and maybe CupHead

I think the only things I'm jealous the XB1 has are apps. Other than that, it's mostly games I'm not interested in. What games I actually AM interested in are also too few to justify me getting an XB1. The overlap between Wii U, PS4, and PC seems to be complete enough for me to say "I don't think Scalebound will be worth $300+."

1) I'm not really arguing about true exclusives. The real issue FOR ME is games I enjoy simply aren't on PS4.

2) Its not that I don't "like" those games. They simply aren't as great as many Sony fans boast. Hence, I can enjoy games but still see they are over rated. Critics don't just look at what games are objectively the most fun, terrible argument.

For your personal taste, the X1 library isn't great.

However, those same exclusives (or console exclusives) would be multi million seller on PS4. They are good games, PS4 fans would love them.

This is definitely a matter of opinion on both ends because I think bloodborne is better than everything mentioned on ps4 or xbone. I haven't played Tomb raider or until dawn yet though. I will wait for ROTR to drop in price or wait for ps4 release. Until dawn I will get some day.

So again your entire argument hinges on you assuming your opinion and personal tastes are fact and trump other peoples taste.  Let's see I have established:

1) By measurable metrics, which are the only objective ways of evaluating things: we can say that there are more PS4 games, and they are on average rated higher.

2) Playstation games have user reviews off the charts relative to Xbox games.   I looked at Bloodborne, TLOU, InFamous, and Until Dawn - they all had user reviews around the same as their high website reviews.  On the other hand Halo 5, Titanfall, and even Gears: Ultimate had user scores notably lower than reviewer scores (Somtimes drastically lower).  In fact it would be easy to support an argument that online reviews are biased towards XBOX, and not the other way around.

And you have said yourself:

3) Playstation gamers boast the most about how good their games are.

From where I am sitting it looks like you just flat out have a taste in gaming biased against Playstation (Which could and is most likely totally a coincidence.  I am not saying you are a fanboy at all).  But again, you have no evidence to support your claims.  It is clear Playstation has games just as good as XBOX or better, and therefore I restate my argument that XBOX is by all means a worse version of Playstation; and needs to find a better way to focus their brand.

No, I believe Sony fans exagerate the quality of Playstation exclusives. This was evident with PS3 as well, I mean Killzone was treated as a Halo killer for a brief period.

1) That isn't objective.

2) User reviews of exclusives are often tainted with bias, trolls, etc.

3) The only objective option I can say is Nintendo, Sony, and MS deliver very different gaming experience. Sony's focus is cinematics and I can appreciate that.

When games are multiplat I think we get more objective opinions.
