Forums - Politics Discussion - Should Trump Become President?

i say yes.

lets see how a business man runs a country. Be a good experiment for the rest of the world to see lol

I know a country that already experimented with this. South Korea with Myoung Bak Lee. (Former Hyundai CEO)

Sorry to dissapoint you, he crashed the country in five years.

Business man doesn't create job. They create profit by cutting the easiest bottomline -workers- thin as possible. In the case of nation, that would be people. That is exactly what Myoung Bak Lee did, and effectively ended the home market.

Unlike South Korea which relies on export, US economy heavily relies on home market. Based on how Trump is saying so far, in most ideal situation where he remains calm and collected business man, he will likely do exactly the same.

It is quite amusing that becoming similar to more modernized nation with less problem is somehow talked as 'Evil' on OP's post.

There is no such thing as 'expanse of others' in education. Collective Intelligence benefits humanity as a whole.

I dislike Sanders for how centerist he is in too many issues. But it seems that there isn't really a good option.

1) Trump sucks. Read this again.

2) Hillary sucks as well

This is what actually concerns me about the election. Most of the media focuses on Trump, not much time is spent on other candidates, including Democrats. With the actual election looking like it will be Trump v Clinton, I've thought on several occasions that I vote for Clinton if I were American. This is in spite of the fact I have no idea what Clinton plans to do is she becomes President, it's just I hate the idea of President Trump. I'm sure there are a number of Americans who have done the same thing and I thing this is actually worrying.

What does it say to you that our greatest ally devoted a good chunk of a real Parliament session to the idea of banning Trump from the UK? Not just as a joke, but because they HAD to due to a petition passing the required votes to hold a debate about the issue.

If England hates Trump and Putin loves Trump, maybe that's a sign that Trump isn't a good idea.

I won't go any further with the rest of your comment because I'd probably come off as rude no matter how respectfully I try to word my response. I'll simply reiterate: Our sister country held a vote to ban a potential President from the country. There's no irrational twist you can put on that to make it seem good; nothing you can say about England politically can change the fact that a country that's been by our side for the majority of our existence has to consider potentially cutting ties over this man.

That pathetic waste of time debate brought shame upon the UK. Trust me, most of the UK does not feel that way. It's just the very vocal P.C brigade. The whole thing was a sham - there was another petition arguing for the right for Trump to enter the coutry. I signed the petition (I don't really care for Trump but i believe in freedom of speech) when there wear about 60,000 other signatories. About an hour later when i went to check to see how many new votes there were, it had magically dropped to 22,000. The whole system is corrupt.

So you support free speech but it was a 'pathetic waste of time' for the government to debate a petition on their own website that was set up for that very purpose. Seems a bit of a contradiction to me.

Of course not. Bernie Sanders is the only real option. America needs redistribution in some way. People tend to forget that the higher taxes Sanders want are mostly for people already making a lot of money. America needs better health-care, America needs a overhaul of the infrastructure, America needs a stronger middle-class, America needs less people in poverty, America needs less working poor or one day, you will have social unrest so heavy I swear things will get ugly. The Republican establishment's idea of less taxes, less regulation will NOT work. Scrap that idea now before you'll ever regret supporting such nonsense.

Rand Paul is a libertarian, therefore not relevant in this day and age, Cruz is an idiot, Bush is another Bush, Hillary is inconsistent and Trump is a racist a* who, on economic side, actually leans much more to the left then you would think.

Wouldn't mind seeing America become the laughing stock of the world.

Would be best not to, but there would be some comedy value in it at least.

I'm pretty sure they already are.

Russia, China, Iran is running circles around the US and Trump would just be the coup de grace.

On a positive side, Fallout 5 will be a realistic experience without the need of VR.

Russia, China, and Iran are runnign circles around the US.

VGC is in incredible form today.

Reality is a bitch lol

Before we begin, I would like to say Rand Paul is my number one choice for president 2016. With that said, out of the canidates that actually have a chance, Trump is the best!

First we have Hillary Clinton, she is a criminal and becoming more socialist to compete with Bernie Sanders. She pretends to care about womens' rights even though she thinks it is perfectly okay for husbands to cheat on their wives. She also thought the Iraq war was a good idea.

Then we have Bernie Sanders. He is a socialist and wants the United States to be more like Europe. He wants to increase government size and raise taxes on everyone. The only people who really support him are college students who want free tuition at the expense of others.

Then we have Ted Cruz. He flip flops on all his positions and copies everything Donald Trump says. Cruz claims to be tough on immagration even though he is an immigrant himself (he was a Canadian Citizen and an American Citizen at the same time). Cruz is part of the establishment and pretends not to be following the money.

Out of all the Evils, Trump seems like the best option. He is self-funding his campaign and refusing money from millionaire donars. Trump wants to open up western trade within China so we don't get screwed over anymore. Trump is also very tough with national defense. He also have a lot of business experience and knows how to create jobs. The only people who don't really like Trump are those who are politically correct and are afraid to offend people.

What are your guys' opinions on this?

You honestly think Europe is worse than America. LOL!!!

He'd pobably bankrupt the country four times like he benkrupted his companies.

I LOVE ICELAND!

What people need to realize with Sanders is also that, while taxes will be raised for all citizens, the money they pay for private insurances, college and such today is a much larger sum of money. So in the end almost everyone, except for the very rich, will benefit from a Sanders presidency.

It doesn't really matter who is president, imo. Nothing in this country is going to change, unless we start limiting the terms on congressmen.

The fact that anyone thinks it's a good idea to give trump access to the world most advanced military force is beyond me.
