It's definitely unlikely, but surpassing Titanic is on lock.

I thought it had a chance, but Star Wars seems to be more of a north American phenomenon... Doesn't seem to have as much global appeal as avatar.

Granted I thought avatar was little more than a pretty tech demo, but everyone had to see it once.

What a shame, TFA is so much better than that mediocre movie.

I said this a while back. Even if it sells more tickets overall, TFA doesn't have the benefit of having almost all of its prices boosted by 3D. I kind of like 3D and even I saw TFA in 2D.

Avatar was far more attractive on a global level, so it wont reach it, but more than likely it will pass titanic :).
