SubiyaCryolite said: Wow, you guys see a lot of bias and I see none. Do you want EG to fall on their knees and worship their lord and savior Kaz Hirai? Look at Celadors post. Eurogamer isn't dense, they know good games when they see them but they still have valid criticisms. Lets not kid ourselves, the PS4 hasn't yet hit its stride,. We haven't reached PS1, PS2 and PS3 levels of "OMG look at all these f@#kin exclusives" yet. We are getting there but I still the system as an infant in that regard. Microsoft may have blown its load early but at least all their top tier IPs have had a pure 8th gen release. And unlike most PS exclusives you dont have to worry about them reviewing well. |
I agree the PS4 hasn't hit its stride, but neither has the XBO, and they praise that. I don't disagree with either sentiment, but one of these articles are written with a focus on the negative, the other focuses on the positive. Both sides are valid, but it comes across as biased when you don't do the same for both.
For instance, both the XBO and the PS4 had relatively few exclusives this year, the PS4 had Bloodborne, Until Dawn and a few digital only titles (and a ton of japanese games, which also don't count). Meanwhile the XBO had Forza 6 and Halo 5, and Tomb Raider. Whoop-de-freakin doo, neither of them has a lot to write home about. Why doesn't this article paint a similar picture of these two consoles then, when they are in a similar situation?
