Not sure why there's so much salt after reading the articles. Is it that bad to point out Sony's first party lineup was rather lackluster this year? Or that the system is selling partly due to word of mouth and Microsoft mistakes? Sony delayed their big 2015 title and clearly felt sales allowed them a little leeway. Nothing wrong with that. Especially when they have moneyhat deals with various big third party games.

2016 looks a lot better but this is a review of 2015. Also I agree with him on the Horizon name. Sounds very generic.

Why is it generic.

Never played a RPG like it before, the things people invent to downplay.

OT: Kotaku, eurogamer and polygon are all the same to me, irrelevant.

"Generic" has become quite a common buzzword these days. Not only do I see it thrown around in video games, but in other media, as well, such as anime and movies.

This, some of the gaming press is getting irrelevant, clicks start to be lower and lower and these articles are pure click bait to start flamewars and get people into the site. More and more and stop going at these sites and prefer peoplelike kindafunny games and gametrailers, they focus on the positive of everyone and the content is awsome. Sites like eurogamer, polygon or kotaku are nothing but trash.

We all know what those sites have in common, right?

As uninformed and unprofessional that article is, it doesnt compare with the stuff that you see on the Youtube community everyday from people like CrapGamer, Iron Wolf, Mooch, etc.

Some examples are:

"We have to support the Xbox because Microsoft is an american company"

"The cloud makes the Xbox One more powerful than a PC with 4 Titans"

"People who support the Ps4 also supports Isis" (Im not shitting with this one)

It is mind boggling.

Why do you even bother talking about the Youtube community? The Xbox, PS, and NIntendo communities on YT are complete irrelevant jokes. If people support that, they don't deserve to have an opinion and should never be mentioned.

Its called walking into a games shop and looking whats on the shelf. I am not going to do the research for you kid. Its plain obvious which console was delieving on there games and which one wasnt.

Dont get me wrong, i am not saying the PS4 doesnt have games but its heavly reliant on 3rd party games and Indies which bolster up there library. Most PS4 gamers are playing Destiny, COD, Fallout 4 and Star Wars, all games avaible on the XB1 while the XB1 has released 5 of its top tier franchices in the last few months.

I don't mind that you think you know more than myself. However, I'm definitely onto to something when...

A. You continue to talk in absolutes, but lack anything tangible... (again, you made the initial claim and continue to make similar ones).

and

B. The very fact that you have to resort to labels when the argument isn't going how you'd like it to (yep, calling someone "kid" is, not only against forum rules, it displays a particular flavor of convo defeat).

Thats the way i talk, if you dont like it then dont reply to my posts its simply. Kid is not suppose to be an insult. Look at the best selling PS4 games and tell me what are the best selling PS4 games that cant be played on the XB1?

First party is nice but when you look at the sales of thirst party games like cod, fallout and Star Wars, it's clear most ppl are playing those games rather than first party games.

Look at 360, it never had a great first party either and just pumped out halo and gears and forza most years like they do now and relied on third parties to fill the void.

But I guess since the Xbox is losing to ps4, suddenly it's all about first party games and third party doesn't count.

Fair article.

And to the people calling "bias" and bringing out the list wars...

The online gaming community is so funny. Biased fanboys calling other biased fanboys

Biased and Fanboys.

All while arguing whether or not an article is biased. A social experiment needs to be conducted.

Whether something is "supposed to be an insult" or not is irrelevant. Point is, it's against the forum rules. Besides, you shouldn't have a need to label someone if you're so sure of yourself. Keep off the forums if you can't grasp that.

As for the rest of your post, it's clear that you can't back up your claim. Thus, nothing left to debate, there.

Oh im sure of myself. I think your not. You havent anwsered my question which leads me to leave it there as theres no point going on.

First party has always been the most important thing around here. 360 was shit on constantly last gen because of it.

That said, of course the goal posts shift in these console warz. On all sides.

Wow, you guys see a lot of bias and I see none. Do you want EG to fall on their knees and worship their lord and savior Kaz Hirai? Look at Celadors post. Eurogamer isn't dense, they know good games when they see them but they still have valid criticisms.

Lets not kid ourselves, the PS4 hasn't yet hit its stride,. We haven't reached PS1, PS2 and PS3 levels of "OMG look at all these f@#kin exclusives" yet. We are getting there but I still the system as an infant in that regard.

Microsoft may have blown its load early but at least all their top tier IPs have had a pure 8th gen release. And unlike most PS exclusives you dont have to worry about them reviewing well.

I agree the PS4 hasn't hit its stride, but neither has the XBO, and they praise that. I don't disagree with either sentiment, but one of these articles are written with a focus on the negative, the other focuses on the positive. Both sides are valid, but it comes across as biased when you don't do the same for both.

For instance, both the XBO and the PS4 had relatively few exclusives this year, the PS4 had Bloodborne, Until Dawn and a few digital only titles (and a ton of japanese games, which also don't count). Meanwhile the XBO had Forza 6 and Halo 5, and Tomb Raider. Whoop-de-freakin doo, neither of them has a lot to write home about. Why doesn't this article paint a similar picture of these two consoles then, when they are in a similar situation?
