Forums - Movies & TV - Kill Bill 3: Tarantino gives some hope again for the sequel

I always liked the idea of that woman's little girl being grown up and pursuing Uma's character (it's been a while since I've seen these, have forgotten all names heh... What was the bride's name?)

It'd be fun to revisit her either way.

Beatrix Kiddo. :D

Yeah, it would be interesting to see what Tarantino would do with that story. I don't know how I would feel if Kiddo is the antagonist. I think it could be interesting to see a story where you can pretty much side with either the little girl now grown up seeking revenge and Kiddo the Black Mamba.

Yeah, her speech to the little girl really sounded like an outline for a future movie lol... Beatrix wouldn't blame her for growing up with revenge in mind but she'll be ready all the same.

Seems like there's potential for it to be of the blood-debt/feud genre, where both characters are forced by circumstance to fight one another, akin to a Greek tragedy or something. The violence just perpetuating itself from one generation to the next.

That's a hard movie to make, though (one lacking a true protagonist or antagonist)... It'd almost have to be from the grown up girl's perspective unless her identity is hidden and Beatrix spends much of the movie fighting off assassins or something. Seems to me she'd want to kill Beatrix herself, though.

But that's the thing. Tarantino can make you a film where it isn't a situation of good versus evil, where the protagonist are our example of who should emerge victorious in evey situation, just like it was in The Hateful Eight, film I watched yesterday.

I could picture Beatrix in a mindset of knowing she also deserves to die for all she's done, just like Bill told her.

I'd love to see what Quentin comes up with.

Yeah, as I said his movies often remind me of greek tragedies, many of which focused mainly on how helpless the characters were as circumstances had left them with few options, and they were all forced to play their roles even when the inevitable end was often known in advance.

Beatrix would easily take on the role of Bill, I think, just as she suggested to the little girl. The great thing about the blood feud genre is that the main characters generally share the same motives and justifications, separated only by which side fate had chosen for them. The origin of the conflict generally predates either of them.

Oh yeah, a cycle of death and vengeance. But with Tarantino's movies the difference lies in that characters can represent the worst of society, even protagonists, and they deal with it's ugliness without someone berating them or writing something to make them pay right there during the film, and I like that because, in our real world, asshole don't necessarily pay for what they do.

Id just be happy if he finally released The Whole Bloody Affair on Blu-ray.

That would make me a happy man.

Yeah, that one feels like something we are owed.

Maybe if Tarantino revisits the story again he will finally feel like he needs to make it happen.

Terminator Genisys did the same thing though. How many times can Skynet keep going online? Alien 5 is also about 2 sequels too many(in my opinion).  I felt Alien 3 was the perfect closure for Ripley. Resurrection was just a parody in my eyes, almost like a spoof. If Kill Bill 3 is made, I just hope it is not Vernita Green's daughter going for revenge.

You are accusing a film of being something when that film may never even be written to know what it is about.

Read the bolded part please. No accusations, just sincerely hoping it is not a rehash. That is all :)

I bet those two have been already made in porn.
