The great thing about the blood feud genre is that the main characters generally share the same motives and justifications, separated only by which side fate had chosen for them. The origin of the conflict generally predates either of them.

Oh yeah, a cycle of death and vengeance. But with Tarantino's movies the difference lies in that characters can represent the worst of society, even protagonists, and they deal with it's ugliness without someone berating them or writing something to make them pay right there during the film, and I like that because, in our real world, asshole don't necessarily pay for what they do.
