If Nintendo releases NX in 2016 it would be the dumbest thing to do right now.

Well, its now a stickier situation. They need a new console in the West. Leaving it much longer will leave them with no retail presence and very little chance of clawing further space back.

I guess they'll do a Sony and put it out in the West first like happened with the ps4.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Disappointing debut for #FE D:

Not sure what Monster Strike is but it's still doing really well

Great to see the Wii U in the 6 digits too

:-O

Monster Strike is currently the top game in Japan. It ousted Puzzles and Dragons a year or two ago.

if Wii Party doesn't count as a new IP, then the original Onimusha back in 2001.

Thats really impressive  but mind boggling when you consider its on Wii U with an install base of 2.5-3m.

Splatoon also did it much faster than Onimusha! The former came out in May, while the latter came out in January  and was at 1 million at the end of the year. For comparison, Splatoon is probably at around 1.2-1.3m with digital, despite coming out 4 months later.

So Playstation 4 and Wii U up massively YOY. The ps4 is up 100% on last year and next week should be great also. 2016 is going to be amazing for it.

Minecraft is beasting and the vita is up on this week last year by a lot. Week 53 will allow it to break a million. The console has a much better 2016 line up on paper so I firmly believe it will be as alive as ever.

Battlefront showing good legs for this type of game and fallout 4 looks promising.

So the year is almost done. 3DS is dominating the handheld market as usual and Sony is dominating the home console market as usual.

A big ps4 win in 2015 for the home console market and the crazy thing is this system is only getting warmed up. Next year the domination continues with the onslaught of titles big and small. #nothingstopsthistrain

WiiU +100k LOL

Is very sad to see #FE flopping this way, however it looks like it has sold half of the stock

So looks like Atlus was not expecting big sales anyway.

It's up to retailers to determine how big the first shipment will be, not the developer. Atlus could've expected 500k copies but if retailers don't order many copies, the shipment will be small. Not trying to pick on you. I've just seen this argument a few times and that's not the way it works.

OT: Great Wii U numbers! Splatoon and Mario Maker also doing really well. The rest is meh. The console market has shrunk so badly: 100k used to be the bare minimum a console had to sell during the holidays to be considere a success. Today 100k for a home console is amazing.

Holy crap nice week for everything

Oh, ok, thanks is good to know.

Sad scenario for the game, lets hope it has legs or a good performance in the west. I dont have my hopes up though, but oh well, it is a strange choice for WiiU to beggin with, I'm very interested on it though.

Great numbers this week.

Question: Does Famitsu count the week 53 too?
