Edge in FFIV. He really ruined the end game for me. Die so easily, but in the back row he is not really effective. Say stupid things most of the time and has no real reason to be with the rest of the group. Except for maybe slobbering about Rydia body.

LOL. That moment just confirms he exists to act as a Deus Ex. He should be murdered a billion times over. For all the people who die, over the course of the remaining movies. While he sat on his planet, and did nothing else.
Any character that's there to intentionally waste your time. Acts dumb as shit, to ruin your progress. EX: Slippy, in Starfox. He'd be fired from his job. After all the times he messed up. I get tired of rescuing him.
The Rival in the Pokemon games. They always fail. Thy don't do anything new. It be nice if the Rival was the leader of the Team. So at least you have a point of defeating them. They just interupt you at really annoying times. Victory road is the worst. You can get screwed, only because you've been fighting for so long, and can't get a break, to heal.
All the morons in the Resident Evil games. It's like you guys never seen horror movies. And want to get yourselfs killed. Like Steve, in Code Veronica. "I CANNNNNNNNNNNNN'T!" Or idiot Ashley. Pick up a gun, and help out.
And anyone doing this in a game

From my list of games I have played, I would probably say...
Smash Bros - Jigglypuff. It fit in the first Smash, but now in Smash 4, Jiggly has no point in being around, she shoulda be cut in Brawl.
Final Fantasy 13 - Everyone but Sahz. They pretty much fit every number in the list. Heck, they should have made the game about Sazh. That would have been a way better game UwU
