LOL are you serious!? Some 8th gen games like Arkham Knight don't even have mirror reflection in certain places.

You may be a PC gamer, but let's be honest, The Order does have an advantage by being a Playstation exclusive on a forum with a lot of PS fans. Also, OP said "gaming machines", not "consoles", which means PC Battlefront maxed out at say, 1440p and 60fps, vs The Order at 1920x800 and 30fps is fair game. |
The proof is on the table. There is no denying that The Order looks better than Star Wars.
The fact that the game is Playstation Exclusive is irrelevant.
@SubiyaCryolite Thanks for posting REAL screenshots and not bullshots.
| ZyroXZ2 said: I WOULD have said The Order 1886 except that there are no reflections in actual mirrors or windows. Thus, I have to give it to Star Wars Battlefront. It is, quite simply, an epic display of graphical tech running at 60 fps on limited console hardware. What they've accomplished there is worthy of recognition. Add to that the fact that two-player splitscreen, while reduced to 30 fps, is FULL width and maintains a large portion of the graphical fidelity? Star Wars Battlefront, hands down! |
I actually never finished The Order. I noticed that and assumed there was some secret reveal that I was controlling a vampire! I thought I was being so observant!
Game looks great but I haven't played it in months. I seem to remember not having much interaction with the environment (ie: shooting books off of shelves, knocking over background objects, etc.). That lowered it a notch in my book just like it did with Ryse on Xbox One or even The Bouncer on PS2.
Gonna go ahead and finish it soon, even though I hear the ending is disappointing.

Yea, the lack of reflections is a technical limitation, lol...
Oh, and vases can be shot, hehe

Star Wars looks better than The Order. There, I denied it.
And fan allegiance is very relevant when polling an exclusive versus a mulitplat. Obviously some hardcore fans will vote in favour of their preferred platform out of brand loyalty.
Visuals matter in proportion to the devices they run out. I think best visual should go to the game and team that pushed their device the most and in my opinion it would be hard to top xenoblade. To have a world that massive with that much detail and the different weather and time of day details is amazing. Just dont look at some of the character designs lol.

Have you played The Order?
Because i have played and own every game named here, and The Order is without a doubt the best looking.
Your art style preference is subjective, the technical aspect of graphics is not.

If you want to turn this into a matter of pure technical grunt, Battlefront maxed out at 1440p and 60fps is far more technically demanding than The Order at 1920x800 and 30fps.

Im talking about a specific list of games compared in the same conditions.
The Order looks is more visually impressive than Star Wars on the Ps4.
If your argument will be "Buh Star Wars at 8k looks better than Teh Order" im done with you.

I'm not talking about Star Wars only on PS4 though. The OP never specified that PC games were not allowed, at least not that I saw.
In your last post your said that preference was subjective and technical specs were not, but now you're backtracking to what "looks more visually impressive", which is a subjective assessment.
