Why did Sony drop the price of the PS4 this holiday season while the PS4 was ahead by 10M Units?

Microsoft reducing the price of Xbox One to $350 makes sense as they are behind.

At this point, the so-called console wars are looking like the price wars.

If Sony were confident in the PS4 to maintain the lead over the Xbox One they would not drop the price of the PS4 to $350 until holiday 2016.

I think you can even get a PS4 or an Xbox One for $300.

At this rate by holiday 2016, both the PS4 and Xbox One will be $250 all because of Sony's lack of confidence in the PS4 to maintain it's lead over the Xbox One.

PlayStation is clearly the underdog this generation as Microsoft remains steady and confident in the Xbox One.

The ps4 kept its price for nearly 2 years. Technology either has incremental model upgrades (which forces the old version costs down) or just plain old price drops.

Also do you know what underdog means? Or are you just upset that the Xbone got beat again?
