If she is not joking, then there is something seriously wrong with her. The reason dark colors are usually representative of evil, is because the night has always been the symbol of the unknown, and the time of days when you don´t venture outside. Also, red is also often used to represent evil (like the devil) because it is representative of blood, death and so on. At the same time, bright colors represent daytime, safety. We shouldn´t let crazy people be representative of the real issues at hand, ACTUAL racism and oppression.

Wasn't the Empire exclusively male and white? While the rebellion had all sorts of races (human and alien)? I mean, we don't see storm troopers faces, but every officer I remember was a white guy.

And here I though Star Wars was anti-White because the evil guys of the Empire and its remnant are often blonde europeans filled with Nazi imagery... especially now that Boyega is one of the heroes and whatnot.

People see what they want to see. The movie acts like a Rorschach test in this case. Most blockbusters will strive for neutrality or act on universally agreed themes to avoid this sort of polarization. But there will always be people to whine no matter what, so...
