This really should be on a handheld. I'm starting to hate this western tendency to put everything on home consoles.

How the hell is XCX, Fast Racing Neo, MK8 or Bayonetta 2 possible on the console and a game like this or Blinding of Isaac Afterbirth isn't? Come on, just say you cannot afford the time it cost to make it happen on WiiU being profitable and that's it, tell the fucking truth, don't get into the "is too weak" train just because is easy, it's pathetic and the lie is too obvious. |
Technical possibilities are determined by the marketshare of the console (excluding exclusive games.) That's common knowledge the possible profit for a Wii U version is so enourmously low that with that budget the game can't run on Wii U.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
Technically, they don't have the money or resources?

The thing is... the word technically is extremely similar to the spanish word "técnicamente", and they mean exactly the same, so I know very well what it means, and when used on videogames and other tecnology camps it has, obviously, a tecnological connotation, in other areas it would be more clear to see that they are talking about a lack of resources as a team, but in videogames the connotation sounds very different, sounds totally like they are talking about the actual tecnology of the console, and that's the kind of ambiguity where the lie relies. |
"Technically" is not related to "technology". It is either factual or referring to technique.
However técnicamente can also mean "technologically" which would be the word to say the Wii U simply can't run it. It would be technologically impossible. That said however, tehnologically impossible would still mean it's technically impossible. XD English is a sod of a language.

Or the know how.. or maybe they made a bad design desision early in developement that means porting it to the Wii U, would mean remakeing the intire game.
Stuff like that, could make it technically not possible (would be to expensive).
"Technically" and "technologically" are not the same thing.

Why think about this logically and rationally when you can instead take it as a personal insult? He almost certainly meant "without serious alterations which are outside our planned budget and timeframe," or even, "the Wii U won't be a viable platform by the time this releases," which, as you stated, would fall under the definition of technically. Understanding that, however, would require that you have an ego that is separate from a piece of plastic and circuits. No, better to take deep offense and rant about how it's not fair and both your human and game console personas are being bullied on twitter.
Are you even normal?

The Wii U is gonna be dead by the time the game comes out, most likely. Didn't it just hit its funding? That means another year or two for release at best. If you expect them to port it to the Wii U in late 2017, technically you're expecting too much.
You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt! I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading. After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
