Not enough staff, no experience with other architectures, badly optimized, not meaning "technical" in the sense of technology. Maybe they're technically Nintendo haters. Choose the one you like.

Bonus

technically
ˈtɛknɪkli/
adverb

  1. 1.
    according to the facts or exact meaning of something; strictly.
    "technically, a nut is a single-seeded fruit"
  2. 2.
    with reference to the technique displayed.
    "a technically brilliant boxing contest"

technically =/= technologically.

Why think about this logically and rationally when you can instead take it as a personal insult?  He almost certainly meant "without serious alterations which are outside our planned budget and timeframe," or even, "the Wii U won't be a viable platform by the time this releases," which, as you stated, would fall under the definition of technically.  Understanding that, however, would require that you have an ego that is separate from a piece of plastic and circuits.  No, better to take deep offense and rant about how it's not fair and both your human and game console personas are being bullied on twitter.

Are you even normal?
