It didn't release at the best time

| FentonCrackshell said: I think the buyout was simply to keep this off of PS4 while Halo 5 released. The "Greatest lineup in Xbox history" is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. It killed the sales of many games (Halo 5, Fallout 4, ROTR). Why release so many AAA titles in suck rapid succession? It did absolutely NOTHING for Xbox One. |
You clearly have no clue! Don't let Sony amazing success cloud your view on what the competition has been able to achieve. While the Xbox One hasn't reach the same success has Sony's PS4... they have still manage to deliver on the company fastest selling, most profitable console in Xbox history and you can't denied how great their game lineup has been.
Seem like every one on this thread forgot about Uncharted 4 and Sony failure to deliver on their promise. The reason Rise of Tomb Raider is time exclusive to Xbox one was because Uncharted 4 supposed release in Holiday 2015.

Nah, I'm sure there is some loophole that prevents the SFV exclusive deal from counting as a bad deal for gamers LOL. |
Much like exclusive FPS games, exclusive fighting games tend to go to the platform they can survive on if its popular. Street Fighter as a franchise has a lot of pull. It has so much pull in fact that it swayed everyone from looking at Microsoft because of Killer Instinct to primarily looking at the PS4 as a primary console. The FGC will follow Sony all gen if SFV is exclusively on the PS4.
Or.. they go to the platform where the platform holder pays the most money.
I don't even know what you're trying to say... PS4 is beating Xbox One because it has Street Fighter? Everyone was looking at Microsoft because of Killer Instinct? What is the FGC, are they the ones who decided Street Fighter gets a get out of jail free card on the shitty exclusive game deal deal?
Nope not even close. I guess you don't have a clue what a sales dud is. In order to be a sales dud a game has to sell less then 100K in the first week and less then 250K lifetime. Rise of the Tomb Raider is nowhere near those numbers.
Err... what does selling to whatever sized userbase matter? This is now a "benefit" LOL?
MS paid for Tomb Raider, Sony fans have to wait a year to play it. This is terrible! Shameful!
Sony paid for SFV. Xbone SF fans are shit out of luck, will never play it. But PS4 sells the most consoles. This is glorious!
The loophole is hilarious. Last post I will make about it in this thread.

That's all I've seen in this thread. It's not ok there, but for x reason, it's ok here. The spin is strong in that one, that's for damn sure.

SFV won't be made without Sony's help. Capcom doesn't have the money to invest in many things hence remasters and RE were their. moneymakes
ROTR was announced for consoles , with most Tomb Raider fans being Playstation owners that should be a no brainer. SE made a dumb decision to partner with a platform that don't really support them as well as Sony fans plus they don't have any problems with finance. They also are treading into making Tomb Raider a legacy title because late ports don't sell well thanks to Sony's or even SE's hypothetical 2016 lineup, Lara will probably gonna be buried alive and future titles will probably sell less as well. Good luck trying to justify those.

That's the loophole. Buying an exclusive is buying an exclusive. There is no excuse to be made. This is a shameful act by Sony.
Don't forget FFVII Remake is coming first to Playstation. There is the elephant known as Shenmue III kickstarter and who knows what evil deal they made to make Star Ocean 5, Valkyria Azure Revolution and such games into exclusive.
Dirt is all over the place. It undeniable that Sony is getting a free pass.
