Works just fine for me. Can anybody else see it? |
I swear I couldn't see the WiiU screenshot when I made that post!

He probably doesn't know what he's talking about, but admittably they can't be that far apart lol.
Not much more powerful really doesn't mean much on its own. It's clear the Wii U has more grunt. However, if you're taking a 3DS, Vita, Wii U, PS4 and XB1 as your potential platforms. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for the Vita and Wii U to be closer in capabilities (both perfectly capable of running 7th gen engines) while 3DS hand quite got the grunt. While PS4 and XB1 at full whack are way out of the reach of the Vita it would theoretically be able to run a fairly comparable game to a Wii u version.
Someone showed Need for Spped to show the gap. But actually if anything, it shows how comparable they are. It was a top end racing game on release and yet a hand held ran a pretty decent port. I think NFS will have the crown as most impressive cross platform handheld game for me. It was a true home console experience in your hand. Pity that's isn't a market for that.
Doesn't really mean anything either way though and I don't really see what the point of stating that is.

It also has a pretty damn smooth frame rate for that full console game shrank down into the palm of your hands.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

This comparison is always what amazes me the most! Yes the graphics are cut back, but it's still so complete considering like you say, it's shrunk down into the palm of your hands. You can clearly see it's the exact same game. Something I've not really seen in a handheld console prior to the Vita. Same map, same handling, same content. Yes they had to take a few AI opponents out, and remove some of the glossy lighting effects/reflections. But one of them is being played on a 5" screen while the other is being played on a 50".
It should also be noted that at 960x544, Vita tops out at about half the resolution of most Wii U games, and a quarter of 1080p titles like Smash Bros.

Note that Wii U's COD:ghost is 880x720 (633,600) same as PS3, Xbox 360; while PS Vita is 960x544 (518,400). It would seem indies are bashing Wii U because of it's poor sales.

Not quite; Ghosts runs at 1024x600 (614,400 pixels) on Xbox 360 and 880x600 (528,000 pixels) on PS3. So a little lower than Wii U.

1024x600 (614,400 pixels) on Xbox 360, I guess that where all the optimization went.
