Adverts in free papers are serious bidness.

Well it is curious, did MS have control over page layout? It would seem they did.... That is not a good sign. Metro do game reviews and the guy comes across as very anti-PlayStation also.

its very simple. Ms call the metro and ask if they are reviewing the game. Metro say yes. Ms say, can we have a full page ad opposite please. Metro marketing dept say yes! They exist to sell ad space, its a free paper. There's nothing sneaky about it. Its fucking obvious.

And their intention were so Hard to see right?

Complain that people are toxic about MS, but get amused by the tricks.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

This is hilarious. Keep it up MS.

I think some of you are taking this a wee bit too seriously... >_>

Damn, lol. Why the hell didn't Sony employ similar methods with the PS3? So what if it seems desperate to internet keyboard warriors. It raises awareness, and that can only be a good thing, if you're on the losing end of a marketing deal.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I think it's criminal to even be allowed to HAVE exclusive marketing. It's completely BS and should be legally blocked in court.

This, I find exclusive marketing to be highly dubious and deliberately misleading in general, this gen is especially worse for marketing rights because you have plenty of comments as an example on Youtube that constantly ask "is this on X platform too?". Because of that type of deceptive marketing, people don't always know that said games are available on other platforms, even at the same time and that affects the casual crowd as well as some who try to stay informed, for myself I always look up a game I'm interested is to know if it's on PC or when it would than relying on bought advertising to tell me what platform it's on.

That said I'm finding the reactions in this thread to play out like they always typically will, MS are once again up to their sneaky and highly devilish ways on trying to one up Sony but good guy Sony is the saint, the second coming that has and can do no wrong because they have never sinned or earned redemption decades ago. The same scenario is going to play out hundreds of times this entire gen and maybe even the next, nothing is going to change the canvas people have painted on.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Remember the Destiny fragrance last year? Pretty clear intentions.

I wonder if Sony care....

I wonder do they have a limit or if it is just clear cut... do they just send it to the lawyers?

Lawyers, another usually useless bunch of moneysuckers.

They should be advertising tomb raider instead of doing this salty move
