Im predicting 2.8million sales ltd and maybe 4 million in the next game. Xbox needs like a narrative focused game like uc4.

I'm excited for QB, but I don't see it happening. It just doesn't get the social media numbers the other exclusives get.
To put things in perspective, both Forza Motorsport 6 and Killer Instrinct have had more social media hits this month.

Social media is great but when i get i game i dont really post about it.

That being said there has been a clear correlation between sales and and social media. Heck even Cuphead (an indie game) manages to trades blows with QB (AAA budget) outside of huge press statements.

That would be a feat with X1 install base. I agree with you about MS needing a solod narrative based game.

Every Halo has an audience. I can pop in any Halo game on 360 and find thousand of playing at any moment. Even if you dont like 4 or 5, many will do so for years. Personally, I think Halo 4 is the best. But I have fun playing certain modes on all of them. I'm playing 5, but I've also been spending time with Reach. Edit: Now that I think about it, you're probably focusing on campaigns while I'm discussing multiplayer. Halo 4 and 5 have good campaigns. Arguably better pacing and definitely better story telling and Bungie's trilogy. I really liked Reach's campaign, probably my favorite from Bungie. |
I was speaking about both SP and MP. The thing that I usually asign value on is the "wow" factor. When I first played SP and MP in Halo 1 and 2, both games at certain times just blew my fucking mind. They were industry changing events and experiences that redefinded console FPS. With Halo 4, nothing felt that way to me. The SP felt by the numbers and the MP felt like an entirely different game.
But I can't state this enough... the loss of Marty as the composer was probably the biggest loss imo. I don't know if it's because I am a musican and composer myself but, Marty's work is almost like John Willams imo. His presence is SORELY missed as it was his work that gave that game it's feeling of epicness, much in the same way Williams gave Star Wars it's epic weight.

Maybe you're experiencing fatigue and you've become jaded. I played through all the campaigns in MCC (I originally played them on OG Xbox and 360 as well) and they can be tedious. I feel later games like ODST, Reach, 4, and 5 are more enjoyable playthroughs.
Right now I'm in the last few levels of Black Ops 3. And quite frankly, its a pretty awesome campaign in many ways. A few years ago it would have blown my mind. But right now, I've become so jaded as a gamer that everything feels by the numbers. It takes more to impress us now and our expectations have probably gone beyond realistic.

So why would MS want Bungie back then? They've lost Marty and Joseph Staten went back to MS already to work on exclusives. I'd say those were the 2 most important guys still at Bungie when the split happened.
Halo 5's music is phenomenal because it captures Marty's soul while giving a brand new feel to it. I was blown away by some of the huge sceneries and the music while playing the campaign.

Yep. I'm not even sure if X1 shipped 18M already to have that sell through... I agree on your 15M neighbourhood.
