Because hardly anyone cares about 99% of those games and hardly anyone wants the Vita as a piece of hardware.

Tell that to my Vita collection. Theres still far more coming out for it that I want to play than I can keep up with and that was before P4:DAN released in Europe yesterday >_<
But I don't discriminate against games not released by multi billion multinatonal corporations.

That's not really fair to say. The games aren't lower quality. They are just more niche on the whole. It's not a quality issue at all.

OoT 3D and MM 3D are exclusives and since they play so much better I doubt anyone wants to return to the original games. Vita is filled with games that are also on PS3, PS4 or even PC. Games that released at the same time and are often inferior on the Vita. People always praise P4G because it's a good remake. So why wouldn't you count OoT 3D and MM 3D?

I don't make the rules. I'm just trying to keep the playing field level on this place.
Actually P4G is one of the reasons I stated those arbitary factors. It's not counted in many threads discussing Vita games because of the PS2 original. "Port".
To me, any game on any system counts, especially if it's a handheld release as opposed to a home console release. I can't take my PS4 or Wii U on my commute to and from work.

It's always counted, I've never seen someone dismiss it.

You can't have been in many Vita discussion threads on this site then. I've not known a system so unecessarily shat on since the GameCube.

True. But its also personal taste. I spend a lot more time with my Vita than my 3DS because the style of games.
Personally, I can't play the 3DS's most popular stuff without getting sleepy. For the most part, its just not for me.
There is a market for Vita's style of games, that market just isn't playing on Vita.

Very true, but were comparing the number of games here. As a gamer (or a consumer generally speaking), you're always better off with a larger choice. |
You're better off with better choices. A larger pool of choices often includes more better choices, so usually larger = better. For Vita and 3DS it strongly depends on your tastes. For instance 3DS has definitely the better Jump&Runs, while Vita definitley has the better action-game choices (with Assassins Creed and Uncharted). Overall it is a pretty complicated picture, for instance both have great RPGs, which are better is a question everyone answers differently. So which system is better for you as a gamer/consumer, is dependent on your tastes. I would say the gamer who owns both systems definitely wins out here.
