What i meant is that this is not just some annualized game that they are bundling, this is not Assassins Creed for Christ sakes!

This is FALL-OUT 4. The sequel of a 2008 game. This is a BIG deal in the gaming industry.

And they are releasing a vanilla Xbox One with a shitty box art.

This is borderline disrespecful to the Bethesda people, and the gamers.

See above.

If you ask why they pick Forza>Fallout, it's because 2015 is 10th year anniversary of Forza series.

Fallout? maybe 2 years later when Obsidian make a Fallout:New something.

Its painfully obvious that people arent giving a shit about Forza 6, the game is currently at #116 on the Amazon Top 100 (Never cracked the Top 20), and the bundle is sitting at #169 (Never cracked the Top 20). The game simply failed, flopped.

There is no way that a series that is annualized, no matter that its 1st party, has a preference when it comes to bundling, specially with a game of the caliber of Fallout.

Microsoft had the neccesary time to realize that Forza 6 flopped, and bet on arguably one of the biggest games of this holidays. But hey...this is just my honest opinion.

There's a very likely, good reason for Forza not charting high at retail. Anyone who really wanted the game, especially at or around launch, was much more enticed to buy digital. Unless they wanted the limited console, the digital versions of the game simply offered fans more. Retail had neither the deluxe, nor the ultimate edition of the game. MS even emphasized this with their marketing for the game. They're really was no good reason to buy at retail unless you really wanted that console, or you really hate digital.

I agree these boxes need a little more design love. But ehh we got a Forza and Halo themed console and boxes... not everything has to be about visuals lol.

In fact it has to sell well.

MS did that with 360.
Sony do that with PS4.

Seems like MS just lost the touch.

In regards to the box art, it seems to me that MS is intentionally dressing these down so to speak to draw more attention to the Tomb Raider bundle, since that's the game they have the largest investment in. Pushing it front and center is clearly a priority for them.

Not every bundles has to have designed consoles though... and not every games bundled deserve a total box makeup... I think they should've made a special box for both Gears and Fallout though.

It needs when you have the marketing rights and for first-party games.

Unless you don't want to sell sell more units to the fans.

Just look at that Sony is making a LE or special box art to all first-paty and marketing rights games.

BTW Fallout >>>>> Any other big release for MS in November/December.

What you are saying makes perfect sense.

What it doesnt make any sense is Microsoft releasing Tomb Raider the same day as the MONSTER called Fallout 4. THAT is bananas.

I said they should've done that for Fallout and Gears but not for every bundles. Also like someone said earlier, they want to push the sales of Halo and Tomb Raider.

This year MS dropped the ball for The Witcher 3 too but ehh...

Eh, why would anybody go back to F3 when F4 is right infront of them? Maybe hardcore fans who were put off a bit by changes made. For new comers, F3 will be untouched
