Which is such a shame, because I really dig that about people

I'd certainly have better feelings toward the character itself if they didn't try to justify everything about him and glorify him to no end.

I wasn't being sarcastic btw. I'm really getting sick of being shoehorned into the good guy role all the time. It's fucking video games.....why must every protagonist always be a hero?

You are not the only one complaining dont worry, there is a hug disapointment about this game, i never saw a MGS disappointing so much so many people

I know, I know. I was agreeing with you. Come to think of it, another small complain is that you're always more rewarded if you choose non-lethal routes. There's never seem to be a balance with this.

There is a theory that the game was unfinished thanks to Kojima's outing. Given the nature of his departure and the drop off of quality in the game, recognized by most players, its very likely it affected the game. Most people would assume, Konami, like any other reasonable company would wait till the game was finished to remove him, but as we have all seen Konami is not very reasonable. Add that MGS:TPP and MGS:GZ where so close together release wise, and you have even more compelling evidence it was unfinished.

Another theory is that Konami took out stuff from the game to turn into DLC, they can't really make DLC with Kojima gone after all. These are just theories, but it wouldn't be that surprising.

It has by far the best gameplay in the series, but sadly does go to waste to a certain extent. I suppose I'd say it's the best actual game Kojima has made, but MGS3 remains easily the best Metal Gear he's made.

It's a shame, because I do think if this whole Konami mess hadn't gone down, and he'd had maybe an extra year then this would have been a true masterpiece.

Maybe Kojima listened and took the lengthy cutscenes criticism at heart and that was the end product. I also believe MGS3 is the best of the franchise. It had this perfect balance between story and gameplay.

Waiting an extra year for the game to be completed would've made it better. Hell, I believe fans wouldn't mind waiting for it until March 2016.

Ya I'm quite certain he did purposely go in the extreme opposite of MGS4 which was a cutscene overload. I mean if he's gonna operate under extremes, I prefer it on the gameplay side, but yes MGS3 had quite a beautiful balance for my tastes, and it's a shame he couldn't (or wouldn't) get back to that.

I have another complain, come to think of it. Was it really necessary to make Huey such the asshole he turns out to be? He's like the secondary antagonist of the game, fucking Big Boss and MotherBase every two seconds. Also, Strangelove fate wasn't cool, nor the small retcon they did with Hal piloting a Metal Gear while being 4 years old. I know the dude tried to kill himself along with his daughter, but he wasn't such an imbecile in Peace Walker. Why the change?

In Outer Heaven men become demons.

In the Seychelles Mother Base they actually become really nice, heroic guys though.
