On final fantasy VIII for PS1 on wikipedia, the first difference in the OP, citation is needed it seems.
I'd say VGchartz, but really, both are unreliable sometimes.

Nobody ever bothers to update Wikipedia anymore, so I'll go with VGChartz.

Title should be "Wikipedia vs VGChartz, which one is more inaccurate?"

LOL

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

VGC software sale numbers are pretty innacurate, so I pick none.

For old shipment data? Please.

People can rag on VGC for all of the recent information, but nearly all of the older sales information is correct as there's easily available shipment data.

The Wikipedia numbers are accurate as of whichever date the cited article was published.

VGChartz numbers mostly appear out of thin air. I'm not saying they're inaccurate though... just that we have no way to test their credibility.
