Do you still have faith on Konami releasing worthwhile games?

I'm not into mobile games so... 37 17.13%

I have nothing against Konami or any other company (ok, maybe apple, but that's not video-game related, yet...).

I care about games, not companies and will most certainly not say "no" to their yu-gi-oh! games or anything else that seems interesting. I don't think companies are evil or anything. And I most certainly don't have enough evidence to judge them for whatever I keep seeing posted around here.

They pretty much only care for short term gain. I'm not buying any more games from them.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

I'm generally not into Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill. That's not to say I won't be, but during the 5th generation of consoles, I pretty much went full on PC gamer and didn't buy either a PSX or N64 until much later. So I didn't get in on the ground floor with those games. I'm still catching up on classics from the 5th gen, to be honest. But I'm huge into Castlevania and Contra. Those games I DID get in on the ground floor. And they played a big part of shaping my video gaming life when I was a kid. The last real game in either of those came a good 6 year or so ago.

So, I don't expect Konami to all of a sudden jump back into those games, but I always hold a little hope that they might go back and make REAL entries in the series. In the meantime, I'll be waiting for Bloodstained.

Back when they were still making awesome Castlvania (GBA) and Contra (PS2) games, sure. But right now, that company has a different set of priorities. So, if their priories shift back to the IP I care about, my attention will shift back to them as well.

I don't have an emotional investment in companies.

There's also an apparent focus from Konami to mobile games, which paints a dubious future where Konami could be directing efforts towards dedicated gaming and console releases.

So I want to see what is the current feeling among VGCharters towards Konami.

Forget their apparent focus on Mobile gaming, at least thats still Video Games

HOW BOUT THEIR OBVIOUS FOCUS ON CASINO/pachinko machines

I stopped trusting Konami after they turned Castlevania into a god damn God of War ripoff! It's sad that we went from games like Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin to that....

Its a Pachinko machine now

I only hope that Nomura can get Kojima a nice position in Square Enix. Anyway, I was never really a Konami fan, but all the things they do sound very shitty, so no, I would never have faith in them.

I'm now filled with determination.

Thanks for reminding me about the existence of that thing! :/

Konami was way more than Kojima, let's not kid ourselves there, but yeah, they're completely irrelevant now.

I don't care if the ''big guys'' at Konami are evil or not. If the company developed a game I'm interested in I would buy it regardless of what people says about them on the internet (pretty much what's happening with mgs right now). Now, they being able to do a great game again is a different thing that we can't predict but it's unlikely nowadays...
