Carbon Roller is the weapon of choice in non ranked matches and the Aerospray RG for ranked.

How much you or any one person uses a weapon has no bearing on how good it is.
High rate of fire, but low damage so it still kills slower than most weapons even if you get 5 consecutive hits, but you wont because of that awful accuracy. Combined with it's low range and a sub n special that don't aid in combat and you only have an extremely low kill potential weapon with no unique qualitys. Most weapons are in the same ballpark in terms of ink spreading, so it being the best ink spreader isn't significant. Inkstrike is easily the worst special btw, as it's basically a Killer Wail but with far less range.

Well that's perfectly fine and dandy, but this thread cares only about how good each weapon is. There is a reason you don't see the RG being used by A+ and higher players.

The sub and special are the only reason it's good, the main weapon itself has just as bad accuracy as the Areospray, which is why the Custom version is D-Tier since it's completely reliant on the main weapon. Oh wait I forgot to list the Custom Jr. and the Range Blaster, doing that now!

It is good, but being on the Jr. brings it down since the short range means it's easy to bait and push away. Of course that makes it good against Rollers and Blasters as they can't really do that, but against rapid fire weapons and Chargers it's not that great. The Zink Mini Splatling though, that'll most likely be S Tier.

Whereas a tiered list based on your own opinions about each weapon is any different?
And if it was a bottom tier weapon as you claim, it probably wouldn't be as popular as it is.
