Of course! I think Tanabe once said that he would like to make a 3D DK game in the future. Hopefully something will come out of that.

It would get slaughtered by critics if it came out today.

People shouldn't be blinded by their nostalgia. Modern day platformers are much much better.

If I got a DK64 style sequel I could die happy. God that game was so fun for completionists, glitched minigames notwithstanding.

I LOVED DK64 so I'm still hoping someday they'll make a new one.

Modern day platformers are NOT like DK64. It's no collectathons. I love me so collectathons.

DK64 is the worst Donkey Kong platformer, is not bad, is just far from Country, Returns and faaaaar from Tropical Freeze, so I don´t have many hopes on a 3D DK, but it would be nice if they try to do one that´s actually as good as the 2D ones. I don´t know how they could do that though, I´m still need to play Yokay-Laylee to see if the genious of the genre can make the old formula of 3d platformers work on the modern age, I´m still having doubts.

Absolutely. I'm longing for another 3D Donkey Kong almost as much as I long for a sequel to Eternal Darkness.

They're only 12 men strong. You'd need 100+ people to make the 3D DK platformer I want. The focus should also be on platforming, not collecting.
