Tearaway was already a success, this is a remaster not a brand new game. All remasters are technically successful because they wouldnt exist if the previous game wasnt successful. Good game, definitly one game that did the Vita justice.

Well, technically it's somewhere in between a remaster and a new game :p

It doesn't count because it's a niche game, just like Gran Turismo.

This. The Vita game was engineered around the Vita's hardware and capabilities. They basically had to create a brand new control scheme, and IIRC, they also added more content, changed some of the original content, etc.. A lot of work went into making this a PS4 title. It's way easier to transition a game made to work with the limited capabilities of a system's controller to a handheld than it is to take a game made to use the wide range of features of a given handheld and transition it to work with a simpler controller.
