Such as? Please tell me all of his false promises....

and honestly, Sephiroth and Kefka aren't super high bars imo. Sephiroth especially as he wasn't an actual villian.

Of course he was.  If you're referring to Jenova:  Any claim that Jenova was in control is debunked by the Jenova Reunion incident, which saw Jenova's body being controlled by Sephiroth and made in his image coming to the Northern Crater, where the real Sephiroth resided.  Why would Jenova do what Sephiroth wanted?     http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Jenova

Just CTRL+F and search "control"

Hojo is the antagonist of FFVII. He was the one pulling all the strings.

Hojo is not focused on as the main villain, therefore not the main villain.  He was never in control of Sephiroth or was more involved with the events Sephiroth started past injecting the wound of Lucrecia, he was just the catalyst lol.  It's that simple.  You can argue him as a mad catalyst character causing the events that unfold, but that's all he is.  The story of FF7 focused on far more surrounding Sephiroth and his effect on the main protagonist among everyone that ever came into contact with him, and his plan to absorb the planets energy after it attempts to heal itself from a life threatning wound.

Lube Me Up

Hahahahahaha, no...

The characters of FF15 suck hard so far, so will the main villain.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Sephiroth is hated even by a lot people in real life. People hate Lightning too.. So yeh, Tabata Hajime is full of bullshit.

It is mostly just internet trolls though. Plus they never follow up or actually make a half way decent attempt to debate. "mama's boy" my ass. If anything Sephiroth is of the anti-oedipus complex.  I don't know about them, but I don't consider someone attracted to their mother or even a loving child if they decapitate their alien mother and then overthrow said alien mother's will to use as their own..different strokes I guess.

He has an Electra complex.

very few villians come close to Sephiroth.
Sadly to many games have really poor villians.

You have to be kidding.

Why? Both those statements are true. Sephiroth is so bad that few can approach his crapiness, and too many games have really poor villains.

Without Hojo there is no Sephiroth. He's Sephiroth's father. He's responsible for the death of Aeris' father. Hojo is the puppet master. Sephiroth is merely the puppet dancing on strings. Let's not forget he was felled by Soldier washout.....a lowly Shinra guard.
