- Nintendo editor Chris Pranger got fired because of podcast he did a week ago

- Pranger wrote “As many of you have probably seen, I am no longer at Nintendo. I was terminated this week due to a podcast appearance I made last Monday. It was a stupid judgment call on my part and ultimately it cost me far more than I could have imagined.”

“spent the last week in a miserable place once the podcast began getting coverage,” he wrote on Facebook. “I was instantly scared when a coworker poked me and said, ‘Hey, you’re on GoNintendo.’ Suddenly article after article began appearing in game sites of all languages. Comments sections painted me as an idiot and the like. My Twitter started giving me hourly reminders from people meaning well and otherwise. It seemed unthinkable that I’d be let go for a single moment of poor judgment and my own misunderstandings, but here we are.”

Creator of Gears of War and longtime fan of Nintendo Cliff Bleszinsky lashes against Nintendo on Twitter for firing the guy:

Although Bleszinsky has made fun of Nintendo on several occasions, Bleszsinky worships Nintendo and he grew up with the company. He continues that he would never ever work for the company, ever.

What do you guys think, is Nintendo justified by firing the guy because he knew beforehand what he was getting into and what Nintendo doesn't allow, or is this action an exaggeration that can't be justified?

The guy made a mistake and broke the rules. He is repentant but, thems the breaks. Cliffy should just mind his own business

honestly i feel the guy got what he deserved. it sucks sure, but again,he dug his own hole

The guy knew what he did, he realizes he over stepped and had to accept the unfortunate consequences.

If he knew what he was doing was against rule, he deserved this. That said, Nintendo seems to have too strict a rule here.

It's 'justified' because he broke the rules for his employment... but it's not great to see because what he said isn't that bad

So who cares what this guy thinks or if he wont ever work with nintendo? Who cares?
He made a mistake that cost him his job, it happens. He knew it, he accepted it and he said it was his fault. Can these people stop blowing it out of proportion. I mean come on.
