Just saw the Halo 5 console in person(pictured in the OP) at the MS store over the weekend. That thing is awesome looking!

Sounds about right, could have come straight out of MS marketing division, pretty appaling for a "journalist".

And to make this clear, my problem here is not with the premise but the execution of the article is utterly shameful.
