Honestly, I'm surprised at the lack of bundle estimation. I'd be quite surprised if Splatoon wasn't bundled for the holidays. Considering there's a MK8 bundle, you'd expect a Splatoon one coming soon.

It has a chance but a very small one. Splatoon has managed to impress so far and it could continue to impress in the future but FF really is FF so its going to be hard but I think there is a small chance it can do it

I imagine they'll give the SMM bundle some breathing room for a bit (maybe September+October) and then start bundling Splatoon in November as they did with MK8 last year. Hopefully this time with some added value though.

But Final Fantasy, the king of IP? I can think of at least 8 that are above it in Japan...

Not doubting that, but i think Splatoon on lets say 3DS same situation as It is now would be around or over 2.5mil seller. And with its legs become one of the biggest games in sales in japan.

FF being bigger than it currently is now i agree with, but do you think FFXV is going to be one of the best selling and if so how much are we expecting? 

Dont forget im not disagreeing with you but i think many dont realize Splatoon's true potential. The Userbase is the only thing holding splatoon back!

no....FF XV will sell a million+ it's first week alonel even it it follow FF XIII's pattern(which I think it won't will be a tad bit higher) it will outsell Splatoon handily,

I personally don't see FFXV selling all that much more than 1.5m. I'd be impressed if it sold more than 1m first week. But it should have better legs than FFXIII since I'm expecting it to be better received (and thus not as many copies available on the used market) but that's just an assumption.

well, Splatoon is really going against all the usual sales patterns so far, especially for a shooter so I don't think i should bet against it. I've been waiting for the usual Japan sales pattern to settle in over time, but it's just not. This week the sales went up significantly for what reason i don't know. I can't seem to predict it because of this so i won't. I will say however that games can drop out of favor in Japan rather quickly, that doesn't mean it will.
