As an optional control would be fine with me. I need the gamepad for splatoon.

Gamepad will not be main controler for NX, but I would love Gamepad and Wii Remote support for NX too.

I hope that Nintendo does the smart thing and leaves the gamepad behind. I love the gyroscopic aiming in Splatoon, so I hope they bring that along with their next controller, but otherwise the rest of it can stay with the gamepad and Wii U. Nintendo needs to make a fresh start and pretend Wii U doesn't exist as soon as NX launches.

I actually will, but won't be surprised. Although I hope they support it because of off TV play which I use all the freakin time.

Not really, if 3rd party dont wanted to take advantage of gamepad they did not have to, Wii U on launch had some 3rd support, Fifa, NBA, Need For Speed, Batman, Call Of Duty, Assassin's Creed...but after terrible sales in first year all abandoned platform.

So bad sales of Wii U turned away 3rd party, not gamepad.

I'm going to have to agree with you there man. It seems like many wanted to embrace the idea, but the lack of sales from the end user screwed up the idea. It's a shame really...

I personally hope it's compatable with the NX, but it defenetly needs to stay out of public commercials and such to avoid confusing the customers.
