Not really, if 3rd party dont wanted to take advantage of gamepad they did not have to, Wii U on launch had some 3rd support, Fifa, NBA, Need For Speed, Batman, Call Of Duty, Assassin's Creed...but after terrible sales in first year all abandoned platform.

So bad sales of Wii U turned away 3rd party, not gamepad.

I'm going to have to agree with you there man. It seems like many wanted to embrace the idea, but the lack of sales from the end user screwed up the idea. It's a shame really...
