Forums - Sales Discussion - June 2015 NPD Thread! PS4, WiiU, XBO, 3DS up

Also, Forza will be nothing.
We talk about NPD, so US, and we all know how crappy sell the R games... Forza will be huge in UK.

October for sure, November and December will be hard with Call of Duty and Battlefront.

Depend on the BlackFriday deals.

CoD and Battlefront vs Fallout 4 and Tomb Raider. That's fine with me.

Tomb Raider is likely going to be a non factor this November. Fallout is currently (on Amazon.com) selling more on PS4 and has been since its reveal, CoD is the other way around, time will tell what bundles will do to change that.

The holidays in he US this year will come down to how much prices will be cut (especially by Sony), outside of Halo 5 the exclusives will be largely irrelevant.

BF: Hardline has been selling more on PS4 @ Amazon.com nearly the whole time, but lost in npd

amazon is not representive, when it comes to overall us software sales and rankings
amazon software is always skrewd towards ps4 (prolly more ps4 user shop at amazon and xb1 user at gamestop and walmart

Tomb Raider and Fallout can help, but compared to two monster like CoD and Battlefront... No way.

Hope in a pricedrop or nothing.

Price drop is a given. Its Xbox.

CoD is declining and Battlefront is unproven.

wouldn't suprise me, if fallout will outsell battelfront
the hype is real for fallout. not so much for battelfront

but maybe this is just the hardcore, vocal internet gamer audience.
not sure what the casual and mainstram audience will do and buy. could favour battelfront easily

Pretty good observation. Amazon's software sales are definitely skewed.

Nah from the sales of Fallout 3 and New Vegas its a big seller. Hardcore does big numbers.

A solid NPD from both Sony and MS regardless of new sku's or marketing deals. The gap is 800k now in the US? Should be around 1 million before Holidays like last year.

I can't really make a prediction I feel comfortable with on who will win the holidays or if the US gap will diminish a lot or barely. For me, it all depends on if Sony drops the price or not. That's the big X factor this year. Paris games week is on Oct 27th and that will be the day when all is clear.

Even for me we will see a official 300$ pricedrop and some 270$ promototion.

There is a possible PS4 pricedrop problem... Imo, if PS4 cut the price at 350$ ( official ) and 320$ during BlackFriday, PS4 will win.

If PS4 will still cost 400$, XBO will win. Even easy...

Expect a big hype with the SW movie at the end of the year that will boost sales of Battlefront
