The PS3's comeback. After all the fails they roared back with a vengeance to match the Xbox.

What comeback? Yearly, the PS3 outsold the 360, worldwide, except for 2008, I believe. Other than that, it was always ahead. How else would it have caught the 360? The 1 year lead/8 million unit gap between the PS3 and 360 didn't just disappear in one fell swoop after 2011. PS3 was always chipping away at it, and the only way to slowly close the gap is to continually sell better than the competition (a concept that the character we know as TheDrill, couldn't grasp). So, how can it be a "comeback" when the PS3 always sold better?

People really misconceive the PS3s launch because of the terrible PR at the time. But think about this: MS always likes to tout "XBOne has outsold XB360 for the same time period they were out". PS3 did the same. Yet, somehow the 360 launch was fine and the PS3s launch was "terrible" and needed a "comeback"? Doesn't make any sense.

Sorry for rant. The "comeback" has just been a frustrating talking point for about 4 years now. Even when you're using it in a positive context.

PS4 selling 1 million units in one day in NA alone.

Don't apologise, I made a whole thread based on this rant xD http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=194317&page=1

I was most surprised by the success of the Kinect and what it did to boost the 360's sales.

Nintendo's intent on killing the Wii off.
Pokémon X/Y's relative lack of sales compared to other Pokémon titles.

And... not too much else. I guess I also thought the 3DS would sell a little better and the PS4 would have a little more competition from the XBO and Wii U, but I wasn't all too surprised when those things didn't come true.

Are yu serious with pokemon? You need to check that again and its overall situation.

The success story of the PS3. It may never match its predecessor, but it did mount quite the comeback; Shuhei's promotion being the spearhead.

That being said, we can also say the same form of praise for Phil's work as well for the Xbox One: November of 2014 particularly. That month's sales for one region alone was galaxy busting.

In 2012, if someone told me that the next PS would consistently outsell XB in US, I'd have thought them insane.
:O

PS Vita not selling good though it has so much great games!
