It's interesting to see so few VC titles in Japan's top twenty chart when compared to the US...
But then again I've been told it's not all that hard to find an old Famicom or Super Famicom in electronics shops, those truly interested in playing older games would probably choose to play on the original console in many cases...

That's not what you said, though. You said there was hardly any competition, which is untrue as it's had to compete with much bigger names like Mario Kart, Dragon Quest, Smash and Super Mario 3D World. Not to mention the plethora of titles you can only download on the eShop.
Many Nintendo games have shortages when released. It's more often than not at this point. Your second point doesn't make sense because that would apply to every other game, not just Splatoon.
It doesn't matter if the eShop is as strong as PSN and XBL, that has no relevance to the topic at hand.

Mario 3D World is also the 9th game on the list, so you refuting that game in particular means nothing.
Splatoon is directly ahead of Dragon Quest X, which is an MMORPG, a genre that is known to be bought digitally (and has reportedly sold over 100k via the eShop).
So the fact that Splatoon has managed to outsell it in under 2 months is impressive, no matter how hard you're trying to spin it.

I dont have to spin anything. As I have said, splatoon's digital sales are good. They just arent that 'unblievable no way that can happen' considering the eshop for the WiiU doesnt even have that strong a presence in Japan to begin with, among other faovurable factors for Splatoon in its digital sense .

Final Fantasy XIII has sold 1.8 million lifetime. Final Fantasy XV will most likely sell less than Final Fantasy XIII considering the PS3 is going to have double of PS4 sales (in Japan).
And i also think Mario Kart 8 will beat Final Fantasy XIII...
MK8 > FF XIII > FF XV
