All this does is deconfirm the original rumor in for me. And that makes me sad.

We were told third parties were enthused with the idea of NX after E3. A new system that underpowered releasing in 2016 would not make devs happy, and would be embarrassingly underpowered.

If they did a super cheap version of a console, equal to the Wii U... but without the gamepad....
They "might" be able to do it, around 150$ (they would make zero profit on the hardware, maybe even lose a tiny bit).

It would be weird though... it would mean the console isnt anymore powerfull than the Wii U.

That makes sense, but then wouldnt the NX just be a Wii U without the gamepad? What else are they going to sell for that price?
