Splatoon manga series?  This is the first time I hear about that, I thought the only manga Splatoon was going to get was just that one-shot in CoroCoro.

Splatoon can totally get to that at the pace it is going,  though if Nintendo does a bundle for it, it will reach it for sure, and quite fast.  Maaaaaybe it can get close to 2 million if it gets lucky, though a Splatoon 2 would sure get to a 2 million mark and maybe even further.

Oh! I think I misread that one then. Its been a long time since someone announced it in the Nintendomination thread. Oh well, i hope that oneshot will get popular, and someone can do a series of it.

ooh! Good point. If the Manga takes off and it gets the anime treatment plus some merchandising it could become something of a cultural icon over there. If it takes off in Japan they need to bring it over to the states. The show will most likely sell well. Then slap in some Splatoon branded super soakers and just like that you got longer legs than a super model.

Yeah that too. I dont know if im right or wrong about Yokai Watch but, The first game reached 1mil when the 2nd one released, while it sold 1mil on the first week. Maybe the anime of Yokai Watch gave that boost, which made the second one, and the series became a massive hit.

Yes, it's launch was better than Splatoon. However, within four weeks of Mario Kart 8 being released and Splatoon being released, Splatoon has sold more. Mario Kart 8 GLOBALLY is doing better. But we are talking about Japan only.

No, you interpreted Ryng's thread wrong. MK8 currently has about a 140k (more or less) lead in the first 4 weeks in Japan alone. Please go back and read it again, I really don't want to argue about this.
