Forums - Sony Discussion - Why BUY the Sony VITA?

I've been thinking on buying a vita for some time now, but I must ask you guys. How is the remote play of the PS4? Does it have lag or any other problem? Is the vita still supported by Youtube and Netflix? What games are the best to get? I've heard Tearaway is a good one!

Thé post hé quoted said " supported by nobody " , hé was wrong

I mean if you guys want to pay $200 for a handheld only to be supported by literally 100% $5-$10 games, then okay. Have fun.

I'll be playing my handheld AAA on the 3ds.

I didn't think it was arguable that the 3DS gets AAA games either.

And it's crazy how a Sony fan is so incredibly misinformed on what the majority of games are actually getting released on it (I have bought nearly 10 Vita games this year, none of them have been indie titles).

Funny story, I got a rep as a Sony hater on GAF because I was vocal about the PSV flopping before release. All my reasons turned out to come true, which is unfortunate.

My thoughts, get PS+, use the cell phone app to create a huge backlog of PSV games and then buy the PSV on sale. It'll pay for itself and then some that way.

Current upcoming high profile 3DS games: Yo-kai Watch 3 (in Japan), Yo-kai Watch 1 (in the West), Yo-kai Watch: Busters (in Japan), Monster Hunter Stories, Monster Hunter X, Fire Emblem: Fates (two different versions), Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Dragon Quest VIII (in Japan), Hyrule Warriors Legends

Pretty good for a console that is in its fifth year.

So yeah, what on earth are you talking about? Most of these games will outsell the best selling Vita game.

From a commericial perspective, they would qualify. If commericial success was the qualifier, then I misunderstood the argument.

As far as big budget titles, only the MH titles would count and they're spinoffs. Console ports and demakes are common on Vita. If they don't get the tag on Vita, Hyrule Warrior and DQ8 certainly aren't considered AAA.

What AAA games does the 3DS have from the last year or so? All I see is low budget Nintendo titles and games similar to what the Vita has but on PSP hardware and the Indies like Vita gets?

If you're going to say Smash Bros, surely the likes of J Stars are equivalent?

If you like Japanese games, you must buy a Vita.
If you don't like Japanese games, you're better off not buying it.

The western (i hate that word) games are very cheap. You can get many big games for almost nothing.

Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout and Uncharted just to mention a few.
