S.Peelman said: The Wreck it Ralph line is questionable; I thought I once read somewhere that Nintendo actually offered Mario to be used, but the creators of the movie couldn't really find a way to include him in the movie while doing justice to Mario's legacy, so they put him on aside for a sequel. So that's pretty much the opposite of what's said here. I've always thought Disney and Nintendo would go well together, I'd like to see some of this rumour happen. The Mario x Mickey game needs to happen. Throw Darth Vader in there and you'd have the three most recognizable pop-culture figures ever in the same game! |
Pretty sure it was the opposite.
Disney asked for Mario in Wreck It Ralph, Nintendo said "no, but here we'll let you use Bowser" and they were very strict on how Bowser could be used.
Truth be told Nintendo doesn't need a Mario x Mickey game. That's not going to bring them any extra consumers. Now if Disney wants to offer things like exclusive Star Wars or Avengers games ... hey ... lets talk.
