Forums - Nintendo - Worst-Case (Realistic) Scenario For Zelda U

Worst case scenario is it ends up being an average game.  Being a great must play game is far more important then the when and the where.

I feel like even that is a little unrealistic. Nintendo always has critically acclaimed 3D Zelda games. I don't see how that could randomly change unless they were rushing the game, which they clearly aren't.

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!

I guess it is preferences, I like the Zelda stories. Not super serious like lots of games nowadays but not practically non-existent like many old games.

I have no problems with them not being serious. My problem is that they are bad. Like they are poorly written. TP and SS had bad stories. OoT barely had one. MM barely had one. WW's was neat, but definitely not the pinnacle of story telling. TP and SS was them trying, and they weren't good. It'd rather no story than another melodramatic, plot hole-ridden mess anyday.

I have also really enjoyed all their stories, even Link's Awakening where you find out the whole thing was a dream.

Content cut and sold as DLC on day one, locked on disc.
Amiibo fest that unlocks sidequests, customes and weapons.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

That it will only be 10x better than the combined library of Microsoft, Sony, and all third party games and that it will only be 1/10th as good as Half Life Three Episode 4.

Link's Awakening barely had one though. I basically just started and then ended. There was no plot progression at all. You just play the game and then *poof* it's all a... You know. That's not a story. That's an ending. Nothing of consequence happens in that game until the end. They could have put that ending on literally any other Zelda game, and it would have made no difference, aside from the obvious hints like the chain chomp existing in that game.

True enough, it was still enjoyable though.

Less than good game, with average to boring and monotonous sidequest and map to explore, and a "to be continued" kind of ending.

The game was fine. Just not because of some great narrative. It was a neat ending to an even neater game.
