I have no problems with them not being serious. My problem is that they are bad. Like they are poorly written. TP and SS had bad stories. OoT barely had one. MM barely had one. WW's was neat, but definitely not the pinnacle of story telling. TP and SS was them trying, and they weren't good. It'd rather no story than another melodramatic, plot hole-ridden mess anyday.

I have also really enjoyed all their stories, even Link's Awakening where you find out the whole thing was a dream.
