Why not Shin Megami Tensei? They sell well on Nintendo systems, at least on their small fanbases.

Soundwave said: The problem is will anyone actually buy any of these games? And the Wii didn't address that either, for all it's early success, it was just catering to casuals, leaving Sony/MS to have open season on the audience that would actually buy games like GTA, Mass Effect, Madden, and all the other major third party IP. |
I agree it's too late for third party pull. However what Nintendo can do is get exclusives from different publishers that will attract xbox and sony fans. Like capcom with another powerstone game or Darkstalkers exclusive for NX, basically game franchises that are dead and wanted back.
Why settle for less, if they should aim for them all? :p
Companies like EA, Ubisoft, Bethesda, etc...

Darwinianevolution said: I would love a shared library too, the Fusion idea looks more and more like Nintendo's future. But aside from digital, the only way to make it possible would be through SD cartriges. And it could make a lot of people confused: they may think those games only work on the handheld, so the people who like handhelds would buy only the handheld and the people who preffer the home console would shrug their heads in confusion asking where are the DVDs. It could cause another case of "the WiiU is a peripheral of the Wii". Nntendo would need a really efective advertisement campaign to avoid those misunderstandings, specially if they want to help their home console bussiness. Also, free Fusion gif. |
That gif is pretty awesome, lol.

The thing with those is that, even if the NX is easy to develop for, I don't see them putting much efford on the console. They'll probably try the same approach they used with the WiiU, and it will fail just as bad. Hell, EA doesn't release their sport games even when there isn't any competiton on that regard, and they could easily port the 360 version.
At least Bethesda was honest from the beginning and said they wouldn't make games for the U. Hope they change their minds with the NX.
Nintendo along with their own titles need 3 franchises to secure a reversal in their fortunes. A few others like Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Elder Scrolls, Mass Efffect and etc multiplatform classic would be nice but these three would guarantee units moved in certain territories.
Dragon Quest = Japan
FIFA (equal if not the best version) = Europe
Madden NFL (equal if not the best version) = North America
COD would be okay... but GTA is absolutely essential. Its even on PC and the game sells millions. They aren't just missing out on games... they are also missing out on extraordinary amounts of platform fees.
