Reggie is and has always been very overrated by the Nintendo fanbase.

This, for the president of such a horribly run branch of nintendo he gets such an inordinate amount of love.

how can you not love him? sure he is  terrible at his job, but we can still like him.

“We focus on the here and now,” says Fils-Aimé. “We’re not like other players in the space that might show a little bit of something that is going to be years in the making. It’s simply because we believe that in getting the fan base excited, we really want to satiate that excitement as soon as possible."

Yoshi's Woolly World was announced in January 2013 and is coming June 2015 for Eu and October 2015 for NA.

Same with Xenoblade X, announced January 2013 and is coming December 2015 for NA.

Oh wait another, SMT X FE, announced January 2013 coming 2016.

And finally Zelda U, announced October 2013, coming 2016.

More than two years for all of these games, obviously they're not showing tiny amounts of these games and then releasing in years. Oh wait.

Pretty common corporate garbage. This is far from the first time we've seen something like this from Nintendo, especially from Fils-Aimé.

The only reason someone would find this surprising or even noteworthy is if they somehow believed Nintendo were "above" this kind of nonsense.

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Reggie is a joke. I remember him saying that PS4/X1 launch games were "meh" when the Wii U had a terrible start as well, maybe even worse. He's lost his mind.

As a famous german politicioan once said:

"Why would i care what i said yesterday"

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

I wish someone wouldvask him about the ability go connect 2 gamepads to Wii U which he announced all the way back at E3 2012. I don't envy Reggie havibg to be interviewed at E3 this year.

Maybe on 2017

Uncharted 4 released early 2016.

The problem is that Nintendo feels that they need to say something. They can't tell the truth and just say that they are internally focused on NX and fans need to just deal. So they are defending why Zelda wasn't shown and why there aren't games being shown for next year period. Truth is that if they had focused Zelda at e3 the games coming out this year would have go no attention.
