We lost a great soldier today. *salutes*

Truly. A white knight has gone rogue.

So long, curl 6.

I'm not dead yet, though I accept with great sorrow that I may need to be removed from Dengle's sig.

I wanted so badly to keep loving Nintendo, but it's like loving a drug addict, no matter how much you defend them, they'll always let you down, and in the end, your love can't fix them.

It's taken a lot to overcome my deeply rooted attachment to them, but the last four years have gradually eroded my tolerance for their bullshit.

I've been on the brink for the past few months, and now I can say with certainty that while I'll ride out the Wii U and squeeze as much out of it as I can, I will not be buying NX, or any future platform of theirs.

Sorry Iwata, your princess is in another castle.

I agree with you 100%.

If Nintendo had put N64 games on discs rather than carts Nintendo would have never had to worry about Sony or Microsoft. Nintendo  would be KING. Too little too late with Gamecube though its graphics matched PS2 and Xbox. Wii was a gimmick and especially sold well because it was $250 against $500 and even $600 PS3! Even beat $400 Xbox 360 who should have price dropped a year later. Wii had 100s of shovelware games! Consumers finally picked up on that with Wii U which several people thought was a controller for Wii! Wii U tried to pull a Dreamcast and get year head start but lost to both Xbox One and especially PS4!

Does Nintendo expect us to fall for another gimmick system like NX? It will need ALL 3rd party support, twice graphical power of PS4 and Xbox One, and launch with Mario AND ZELDA and MORE 1st party! Then there's price- $400 or less.

I still won't believe it. Systems are dying anyway. Kids have iPhones and iPads wherever I go. I am 45 year old male I still go retro myself. Nintendo ended with a SNES to me 20 years ago!

Perhaps drinking some Jameson will put things in perspective.

Feel free to check out my stream on twitch

I definitly aint pleased with the Wii U showing this E3. The fact that they mentioned the NX again and only announced mario tennis convinced me that they are changing gears for the NX and to be honest, i am not ssatisfied with whats on offer on the Wii U. They are pulling a saturn here and that is a very very bad situation to be on.

Maybe its the third parties, maybe they want to finally catch up to the competition. I dunno, but what i do know is that i needed more meat on my Wii U before i was ready to move on and right now its leaving an aftertaste worse than the Vita has (because at least XSEED supports that).
As it looks Xeno X and FExSMT are all that is worth having. I am even thinking that that zelda dual release may be a thing. NX was confirmed for next year, so software needs to be beeing worked on already. All projects have got to have been moved last notice.

This is all very disappointing to me. I wont be jumping into their next system like this aswell.

Video games are starting to become like a Religion or a Political Party, it's starting to consume people (talking metaphorically of course).

You're old enough to know this is not true. It's been this way since forever.

No need to minimize this thread, current Nintendo situation makes one fan a huge loss. I am no mathematician but I bet this loss could translate in a 5.4% loss of fanbase for current Nintendo.

You will be back in Nintendo's turf. This reminds me of some threads some Xbox fans made when the Xbone came out trying to rape everything and everyone.

Nintendo goes and does something you like and you will be posting how "I wasn't ok with what they were doing but now that they seem to have put their shit together I am back with Nintendo" in some thread or something. I bet.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I'll wait and see. But not looking for what NX is as we must likely already know (fusion, tablet, handheld, bla bla bla), but I'm more interested to see if they are going to change ther management policies. If they keep doing the same as this gen with unambitious games that nobody asked for, filling us with useless remakes and spinoffs and wasting time in development cycles, I could pretty much be done too.

I'm not even confident on the next Zelda as I was with the franchise gens ago.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Wii U is my last Nintendo console. I don't want to invest on those wierd, unexcitinting and technicaly inferior games that Nintendo offers. Unless they do some serious changes on their business model they'll end up being irrelevant very shortly.

Sadly this E3 direct was the worst I've seen, when they most needed to bring their A game to the table.

I stuck to my policy of only buying Nintendo when zelda comes out. Seems ninty did me a bit of a favour this gen.

Also been lucky enough to play the few couch co op experiences at work that they offered.

^ im adopting this principal.

No more day1 and buying it on faith nintendo give us a new zelda and a 3d mario game.
