It was good. But I think they should have waited with R&C to show it off at E3, that would have made it all the more impressive.

10/10

Been years since I ever considered giving anyone a 10/10, but Sony found a djinn and said "What are three wishes of older gamers?"

It was pure joy.

Sony gave me The Return of The Last Guardian and Shenmue in one single conference.

I dont recall being surprised that much in a while.

Microsoft won in features. Sony won games.

9/10 - The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Shenmue 3 destroyed everything!!!

We have to think about what we've seen so far and be rational. What was announced that you want to buy? What was announced that you actually want to play? What was announced that will be released in the near future or YEARS from now? What features are you actually going to use?

Answer honestly and you'll have your E3 winner.

off the scale for me, too much nostalgia and great new things added to that

9.2/10 ~ A-

Far, far exceeded my expectations. The point of these conferences is to make consumers excited about the future offerings and ultimately, persuade them to purchase one's product. Sony did just that based on crowd reactions, internet reactions, and post-conference coverage (e.g. Final Fantasy VII Remake trending on Facebook).

One thing that stood out to me from Sony's conference was the richness in gameplay. It was great to see that TLG was not dead, but getting to see gameplay was a huge plus. How Guerilla revealed Horizon was very seamless and the gameplay was nothing short of awesome. Uncharted 4's gameplay really surprised me with its openness. It is still technically linear, but it's wide linear with a huge emphasis on "wide". I can go on and on, but this is a huge difference from Sony's last E3 and a very pleasant one at that.

And man, those surprises. If you were to tell me that Sony would show TLG, FFVII Remake, and Shenmue III (Kickstarter) in one conference, I would say you've lost it. It was great how those surprises were shown, too. For instance, FFVII Remake had a very teasey introduction. I was like, "Is that... Midgar? No, couldn't be..." Then, I hear "Bombing Mission", which really made me happy.

Of course, the conference wasn't perfect. For instance, Uncharted 4 had a hiccup when Drake wasn't moving and Naughty Dog had to restart. There were a few slow parts like when Andrew House talked about PS4's media capabilities. However, they paled in comparison to last year with Powers. I felt that even on the slow parts, Sony did well because they did not dwell too long.

7/10

Nothing noteworthy for me. But Uncharted looked very good. They showed a much better demo than what MS showed for Halo 5 or Gears 4.

The exclusive content stuff is getting out of hand, but it was great to see Hitman back. Probably the best trailer at E3 so far.

It was one AAA, PS4 only, game away from being a 10.

The last guardian, FFVII remake and shenmue 3, was the best conference I watched in a long while. Especially as I was losing hope with Japanese developers.
