Lol, no it hasn't. PS Now is building a platform. BC only helps the XBO short term. PS Now is a long term strategy.

Wonderful. While it's cool xb1 got Bc, it's like they shifted on the own online service.

If Sony improves PS Now, then they could combat against BC but right now, it definitely has

But this is free...

PS Now isn't made to be BC, it a streaming service for their catalogue of games.

Again it's not made to be a solution to BC.

I wanted to play my PS3 games so I kept my PS3 when I bought my PS4. No point in selling it for a few quid.

I don't play games on xbox, nor do I plan to get one. But, I'm so glad this happened. When I heard the announcement, I was being too optimistic and hoping for every 360 disc to work. I do not like the idea of streaming older games. I wish I could, like the PS3, at least pop in my PS1 games. I buy them when they go digital anyway so I can play them on Vita.

I'm hoping sony also has something planned, but the more I think about it, the more I'm not sure. I have 150 titles on my PS3's HDD. How many of those games do I play? And how many would I really want on PS4?

PS Now stuff would be cool if the service wasn't so terrible.

Oh hello - its nice to see someone who obviously has never used the service... complaining about the service. Welcome to the bandwagon.

Used it during the free trial period and twice to rent games for my 12 year old. Thanks for the assumption though!

So couldn't Sony just allow a gamers who has already purchased the games on PS3/PSN free access to be playable on PS4 ? And call it,,, WAIT FOR IT, WAIT FOR IT........Backwards Compatible on PS4.

Mega BOMB.

While I agree that PS Now is indeed something that's a strategy for the future,as of this current time frame with XB1 now getting 360 backwards compatibility, its now in a sticky situation because its not really a good value anymore and doesnt have a big purpose anymore at this point in time in the generation. Now it looks like a rip off after Microsofts announcement. But in the future that prob wont be true once its fleshed out for future projects down the line

Also for the service itself, I've tried a few games on PS Now and they actually run rather smooth and its never been really pixelated. The service runs very smooth for me and i dont disconnect or lose connection when on it. So its very stable

Screen shot your receipts then please. I've yet to hear someone in the United States using an ethernet cable that has tried the service actually have a legitimate complaint. But you do like to downplay anything and every Sony soo i guess thats a legimate reason right ? :)

Sony really needs to catch up on this one, especially now. There were rumors that mentioned they are working on PS1 and PS2 at least.

That won't happen. For the love of god stop asking people.

This isn't mp3 or video streaming... this isn't only hard drive read access. PS Now requires a dedicated server blade to run the game for you. EACH and every click... or cycle of the thumbstick action requires the CPU to compute a reaction... and the GPU to compute the frame (30x per second).

If everyone got to play their games for free -- it would clog up the servers for paying customers. It would also bankrupt sony as they need to pay upkeep costs for people that aren't paying upkeep costs themselves.

The closest thing you may get -- is allowing you to play your games for free on PS Now if you are a paying member of the subscription.
